BURGUM FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY

The Post Card Mystery

In our never ending search for information relating to the Burgum family, the following postcard has been uncovered. It is dated Sep 1952 and the postmark is Kingsbridge, Devon (England). Can you identify it ?

I think it reads: "I hope you are having a good rest and that Burgum is getting plenty of bowls and bridge. I have heard from Ray. He and Peter got back safely though they were wet through. I have bathed once; the weather hasn't been very good. Mummy is a little better. Daddy is still here. Love, Ursula."

The address I think reads "Mrs E**e, Hotel Grovesnor, Swanage, Dorset".

There is no doubt about the spelling of the word BURGUM. Do you have any idea who it might have been ? Was this someone's surname or christian name ? Please help me solve this mystery........
