(a) The family tree lettering system distinguishes between the various sections of the BURGUM (or BURGHAM) family trees.
(b) The WW family tree are BURGHAMS originating from Bilston (near Wolverhampton), England and probably from the Forest of Dean before that.

(It was created many years ago when I first began my research). The various family trees are designated "AA", "BB", "DD", etc.
There is no "CC" family tree, for example, because it was found to connect to the larger "FF" family tree.
