(a) The family tree lettering system distinguishes between the various sections of the BURGUM (or BURGHAM) family trees.
(b) The AA (Part Two) family tree are from the Manchester area, in England, and were formerly the "EE" family tree. Possibly from the Forest of Dean before that. Can anyone help me get back before John Thomas Burgum?

(It was created many years ago when I first began my research). The various family trees are designated "AA", "BB", "DD", etc.
There is no "CC" family tree, for example, because it was found to connect to the larger "FF" family tree.
