James Burgum - Juror at Pit Death Inquiry - 1875

Industrial Expansion, Pit Death Inquiry. An Inquisition this 29th day of March 1875 at the Porrit Inn, Plump Hill on view of the body of Richard Roberts, aged 14 years, miner.

Verdict:
Cause of death - fracture of the skull result of a fall of stone in the Edge Hill Iron Mine.
