1. Hello listers. Boy did i get in trouble. But my big mouth got me
back
out. Sent my niece a joke about a man who got his ?? Do i dare say the
word. Got his penis caught in shower door. Her hubby who is Ojibway
told
me he didnt appreciate me sending his wife that joke. He pretends he is
Very Very Christian but thinks nothing about his drinking, Paint
Sniffing,
Fingers all over neighbor woman man. So i looked real intent at him for
a few minutes then said " Doug do you mean when you become a Christian
you no longer have a penis. Never saw an indian blush but he did as he
turned and walked away. It was not dirty it was just a joke. So deleted
it few days back. But it really keeps bothering me!! Now im not a dirty
minded person but am very humorus. One day he was here and asked me if
i had a bathroom. But my daughter was in it so i shook my head to tell
him it was out side. He got a strange look on his face. Then i told my
neice. Isint it amazing about that big camera they have in the sky.
They
claim it can read a news paper with it. Then i smiled at her hubby. Do
i sound mean? Im not tho. But it doesnt take much to make my day. But
he
is a very good man!!
Thanks.
Viola.
2. Question; If someone was born in the summer of 1938 EST, and I
guess that was war time, had daylight savings time begun yet? How
would one check that? When someone asks exact time of birth it is
difficult to know because of the fluctuations in such matters.
Mary
Answer; Mary, I don't think they are referring to Eastern or
anything-else
time, I think they are referring to the fact that she was born
"sometime"
(EST -- estimated) in the summer of 1938.
Elaine
Nominations which had
comments
attached;
WildBill because he's fun and
knows more than a hill of beans about FamilyTreeMaker (and because he
has
paid his dues on the list)
Sandra Gordon for her enthusiasm about Irish Research and her cheerleader quality about pursuing (properly) genealogy research
Marie (sscootter@comcast.net) for great questions and asides to others' comments
TameBill and Cora for their tireless help to AOLiens
Phil for his knowledge of the US Census/NARA
Rob Rushton for his droll wit (and sometimes short temper)
Laurie (of bwalzack telephone email fame) because she's funny and droll and she is a great cheerleader for the group
Barbara Hardin Barkes for her sticktoitiveness in making sure she receives Gen-Newbie mail at WebTV
Tom Veltman, who, as a newcomer, has brought joy to the list with his recent document detailing some of our subscribers' reasons for using computers and who shared with us his wonder at Sandra Gordon's help in finding his roots
Connie Mead's and Bill Atwood's efforts to keep the users up to date on their AV programs
Cheryl Barnett for her good sound practical advice about computers
Jean Payton for her good genealogy (and anything else you want to ask about) advice
Duncan Morrow for his wonderful advice and help behind the list and because he has stayed with the list through "thick and thin"
Michael (mjngenealogy) for helping Americans muddle through the US Census and more
Viola Seward because she is the grandest (and most often surprising-est) lady I know
John Wilson for beautifully written instructions and explanations
Margaret Davis, Charlie Gardes and Richard Pence, for returning in December as early Christmas gifts for all of us
I won't nominate Keith
Thompson
because half of the list probably will, so he doesn't need my vote
<grin>
