Come in and sit a spell, let me tell you all about the mountain. There's a brand new barn built to house Pa's workshop. I'm afraid the cats got thar first. Then came the goats, chickens and finally the pigs.  The pig were only here a few months.  They were very tasty.  There may be some little oinkers running around come spring.
 
 

We have Hemlock, Maple, Black Cherry and Mountain Ash, which has pretty white flowers in the spring and beautiful orange berries in the fall.
 
 

There are lots of Critters On the MountainThe pigs were good.  Fresh eggs arrive daily.  We are in the market for a dozen turkeys.  We are trying to rent-a-rooster from out neighbors.  We want to try our hand at raising chicks without the use of lights.  We have raised 3 broods of chickens under lights and were very successful.We have recently added 7 Pekin Ducks.  There are 6 males and 1 female.  The little female has been very good at laying eggs.  We are hoping in the spring she will decide to sit on a nest and hatch a few eggs for us.

All the cousins are having a birthday party.  Check and see who has a birthday this month. Happy Birthday to those born this month.
