There Are Three cats living on nanny''s Mountain, Elvis aka. Elvira, Friendly, and Bashful.

The CATS

At a glance the pond sits in repose calm and still but on a closer look it is alive and well. Giant Lily pads float along like barges on the Nile carrying frogs and Dragonflies as passengers.

The Great Blue Heron stands silently in the morning light.  Waiting, patiently  at the edge of the pond, for one of the many gold fish to flash by.   In the afternoon  the Dragon Flies skim lazily along the surface.  Shimmering iradescent reds and blues  sparkle, in the hot summer sun.

The Painted Trurles gather on the raft to bask in the sun.  There are times when you may see as many as 20 from the smallest baby to the Grand Father of the group.  As the sun starts to fade the Spring Peepers start their thundering song.
A boater pedals across the pond in hopes of catching a glimpse of a fish or a turtle swimming beneath.

The Canadian Geese fly over head, before making a perfect landing on the mirror surface.

Yes, the pond is one of the many critters living on Nanny's Mountain.

We also have a few chickens laying around the barn  Actually there are 60 hens who lay about an egg each per-day.  Most of them are "Bared Plymouth Rock"  the rest are "Rhode Island Red.

The Rooster May crow but the Hen Delivers theGoods.
