Lerline Thompson Stokely and Cecil R. Stokely
This web site is dedicated to Lerline Stokely of Kilgore, Texas. Lerline is married to Cecil R. Stokely. They have lived in East Texas all of their lives.
Lerline is the daughter of Grant Thompson, Sr. Her grandfather was Beall Thompson and her great grandfather was Little Benonie Thompson.
Lerline has been researching the Thompson and related lines for many years. She has written to many "cousins", and has visited many courthouses and graveyards. She hosts an annual Thompson reunion in the Kilgore area.
Lerline always keeps in touch with me even though I have neglected her in times past. It is my hope that the establishment of this web site and its dedication to her will repay her to some degree for her devotion and persistence.
