The preponderance of information on Little Benonie Thompson, his wives, and his children has been provided by Lerline Thompson Stokely. Mrs. Stokely has been gathering genealogical data on the family for a number of years and has documented much of it with court records, family bibles, and correspondence with family members.

     Most of the informaton on Louis Cemore Thompson was derived through interviews with Allie Mae Thompson Smith, my mother, and Nettie Josephine Thompson Woods, my aunt. All of this was augmented by my own personal knowledge since I was close to my grandfather Thompson during my earlier years up until his death in 1946.

     Reba Barker Hall has provided much information on her grandmother, Lucy Elizabeth Thompson York. Reba has researched other lines and has been of immense help to me and other Thompson researchers.
