April 2009:

♦  Bob Benedict, the host of BENEDICT TOPICS and administrator of the Benedict Surname DNA Project, will be giving two presentations on genetic genealogy.

The first, on May 9, 2009, will be a three hour workshop titled "Your Family Through Time and Space." This program is sponsored by the Larimer County (Colorado) Genealogical Society and will be at the Loveland Public Library, Loveland, Colorado.

On June 12, 2009, Bob is giving a two hour program titled "DNA: A Messenger from the Deep Past" at the Colorado Family History Expo.

♦  The latest issue (vol 2, no. 1) of Benedict Generations, published in Canada by Project member Jim Benedict, features a biographical article, "Gravestones, Records and DNA" by Bob Benedict. Last year's first issue was devoted to Elwyn E. Benedict, compiler of "Benedicts in America -- Vol 2."

♦  We are pleased to welcome two new members to the Benedict DNA Project: Fred Benedict, a descendant of Samuel2 Benedict; and Larry "Kip" Bennett, a "guest" from Haplogroup R.
