Some Bebbs in the Rhondda, Gelli & Treorchy

Interests

I'm interested in: Evan Charles Bebb and Elizabeth (nee James) 11, Victoria
Street, Ton. Daughter Mary, who is thought to have died fairly young in Canada following an automobile accident, leaving a young daughter, and son Elon, born 1898. Anything about these.
Descendants and family of Thomas and Emily Bebb, Maurice Emlyn Bebb, and John Bebb, including those who came from Montgomeryshire. I think Maurice stayed in the Rhondda, but I don't know what happened to John.

Keith Lomas is interested in descendents of William/Sara Bebb of Bwllfa Cottages, Gelly (Rhondda)1890-1900. They came from Aberhafesp/Llanwnog, MGY to the Rhondda.

There was a Joseph Bebb aged 84 years a pensioner of 9 Horeb St. Treorchy who
was buried 19th Nov 1953 Plot No. V 7/21  His interrment No. is 47493

Hannah Maria BEBB  wife of Richard BEBB  53 years, died at Llwynypia Hospital
buried on 18th March 1957.  Plot M 709  uncon.  Interr.  49027

Penrhys Cemetery

David Jones gave me some references to Bebb burials in Penrhys Cemetery, one of four (I think) in the valley. Apart from Treorchy, I don't know the others.David has a web site with an index of Penrhys burials, which is very useful, and other Rhondda information.

The plot numbers are interesting, since these represent three Bebb families. Emily and her son Sidney are together, and Maurice Emlyn Bebb and Elizabeth, Finally Maurice, Mary Hannah and Ernest Hayden.

213 Gelli Road are my family, as are at least some of 4, Incline Row (Maurice). Ceridwen apparently married Frederick Puddy, but died around th eage of 44 and is buried in Penrhys cemetery. I don't know of any children, although there is a 1957 reference to Ceridwen with George and Boys (Rhondda Leader).
Ernest Haydn died at No 22, St. David's St. Ton- Pentre on January 21, 1935, although I don't know the reason (ref in Other Bebbs page).
William John's family were still living in the Rhondda around 1951. He is here both as a scholar and a father, assuming it's the same one.
