Immigrated to Cincinnati, Ohio on 11 July 1860 via the Ship "Mercury" from Le Havre to New York.

Occupation: stonemason - helped build Covenant First Presbyterian Church in downtown Cincinnati, where his great-grandson, A. Glenn VOLZ, was married in 1950.
