Sadie is buried at Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio Bexar Co., Texas. Her daughters full name is Helen Loreath Manning . She was born on 23 Sept. 1919 and died 22 April 2003 . This is from a posting of Melissa McFarlin--Thanks Mellisa

Their child Helen Rigsby Manning [ I've sent you her birthdates ] it was 29 or 30. Sadie marries 2nd Henry Bales. unknown if they had any children. Helen Rigsby Manning marries 1st Oscar Walsh 2nd Charlie Davis. Their child , Carole Sue Davis Carole Sue Davis marries John A. Bonewall Their children: Mellissa ( born 1964 ) and Wendy 9 born 1972

You have my great grandmother Sadie being married to a Henry Bales. However the 1920 census shows 17 year old Sadie being married to William Manning (aged 19) who was a clerk in a Photographers studio. They were living on Lawrence Road next to Allen R. and Barbara Rigsby (and daughter Rosa) (Justice Precinct 3, Kaufman, Texas, ED , roll , page , image 262.) Also according to the 1920 census Sadie was born in 1903.
When was she married to Mr. Bales?

I did a little sleuthing and I located Sadie (she listed herself as Ruby Bales) and Helen on the 1930 census living on Mineral Wells Ave in Terrell, Kaufman Co, Texas.
Her martial status is listed as divorced.
Grandmother told me that her father, William Manning, was a preacher and that he wanted Sadie and her to go on the preaching "circuit" with him but Sadie refused.
I have some old pictures but I have no idea who most of them are. . .very few of them are actually labeled. I will get them scanned and send them to you. Maybe you will recognize someone.
Note: From Mark Rigsby---I went on line this morning to see what I could find for Sadie. I found her in the 1930 census , but her birth year is given as 1905 . Not 1903 , or 1901 . It's clear that her birth year changes . And it changes way too much. Lets see in 1910 she is 9 years old . If she has not had her birthday she would be 10 that year., in 1920 she is 17 , which would make her born in 1903 or 1902 depending on her birth month. Then in 1930 she is born in 1905 which would make her 25 or 24 depending on her birth month.
