Following is a summary of the meeting Minutes for the Aug. 16, 2008 Miller Reunion.

Sixty family members attended the 17th annual Miller reunion. The weather was perfect with sunshine and temperature in the 70’s. Our children enjoyed the playground and the neighbor’s kittens.

President Larry Baughman called us to order promptly at 1:00 PM. Two hymns—Faith of Our Fathers and How Great Thou Art were joyfully sung to begin the festivities. After grace was given, everyone enjoyed the meal with lots of salads, meats, fruits and desserts.

Larry then collected up for a group picture which he took with his digital camera. That picture will be found on his web site and can be ordered from there.

Larry then called the meeting to order while the children gathered together at the annual cookie table. The August 18, 2007 Minutes and Treasury Report were then read. Larry gave the death reports of Elaine Angevine (daughter of Willy and Dee Miller) October 7, 2007 and Steven K. Miller (grandson of Willy and Dee Miller). An update was also given on births, marriages and family deaths of the extended Miller family, i.e, John Miller's siblings families.

Some family history was presented by Larry on Annie Beer Miller's Grandfather's farm land owned by David Peter Procious. Copies of the old Procious deeds were available.

Marie auctioned off the beautiful table center pieces which she lovingly made.

It was announced that the 18th annual Miller Reunion will be held August 15, 2009 at the Sigel Civic Center, same time, same place. A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting.

Now was time for the White Elephant auction as well as A happy day was had by all.
