Children of (Dr.)
Thomas Pounder and Sarah ___, from extracted IGI (all bp.
St. Peter, Leeds, Yorkshire, England):
John (b. 28 May, bp.
7 Jul 1811) [just father Thomas]
George (bp.
10 Jul 1814) [“Doctor”]
Samuel (bp.
26 Jan 1817)
Thomas (bp.
28 Aug 1819)
Joseph Eastburn
(bp. 20 Jul 1823)
Benjamin (bp.
27 Jun 1825) [“Doctor”]
Peter (bp.
21 Feb 1829)
Hannah (bp.
6 Feb 1830) [“Doctor”]
James Hampshaw
(bp. 8 Jan 1837)
This family matches
what is known about the #26 and his family—his known sister Hannah appears in
it, with the right date, and his probable brothers Samuel and John (also with
the right dates). From the 1841 census,
though, #52 does not seem to have been a doctor (he was a carpet weaver at that
time). Also, John’s father (and probably
George’s as well) must have been a different Thomas (perhaps he was just a
cousin or uncle), if #52 was indeed born 1795/6.
