Mary Stroup

GILMER COUNTY MINUTES BOOK 6  PAGE 282-3

STATE OF GEORGIA COUNTY OF GILMER:
TO THE ORDINARY OF SAID COUNTY:

The petition of Mary Stroup widow of H. A. Stroup shows that said H. A. Stroup late of said county, departed this life on the 13th day of July, 1936, that there is no administration of the estate of said deceased, and that his estate consists of real and personal property of the probable value of ($1500.00), that under the laws of Georgia, she, the widow of H. A. Stroup, is entitled, before the payment of debts, to the allowance called the twelve months support, which she hereby claims for herself, that she has given her ten days notice of this, her intended application, in a writing, stating her claims as above; therefore she prays that proper persons may be appointed according to the law, to set apart said twelve months support, and the allowance of furniture, to which she is entitled.
