Georgia, Gilmer County To the Ordinary of said County The petition of Elizabeth Bates, as the widow of John Bates, late of said County, deceased shows that deceased died intestate in said County, on the 7th day of November 1904, leaving a small estate of real and personal property as to the solvency of which she is not advised, and leaving petitioner, his widow and that there is no representative of said estate. Wherefore petitioner prays that five discreet appraisers be appointed to lay off, set apart and assign to your petitioner a sufficiency out of said estate for her support and maintenance for the space of twelve months from the death of said deceased; also a sufficiency of household furniture for her use and she will ever pray.
