Milton Davis
, son of John Davis and _________, was born on
28 Feb 1791 in South Carolina.  He died on 23 Jun 1886 in
Gilmer County, Georgia at age 95.  He was buried at Clear Creek
Cemetery in Gilmer County, Georgia.

Milton may have married Jane ________ before 1811.

Children from this marriage were:

2     F     i.  Sophronia Davis was born about 1811 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
   
   Sophronia married Seaborn Holt, son of Larkin Holt and Mahala.  Seaborn was born 1807 or 
   1808 in North Carolina.
   
3     F    ii.  Mary Anne Davis was born about 1813 in South Carolina.
   
     4    F    iii.
 Elizabeth Davis was born about 1815 in South Carolina.
   
5    F    iv.  Alsey Davis was born about 1817 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.  She died on
   30 May 1887 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia about age 70.
   
   Alsey married Bennett Robinson on 8 Jan 1845 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.


Milton next married Rebecca Burnett, daughter of James Burnett Sr. and Elizabeth ________,
before 1820 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.  Rebecca was born in 1797 in South Carolina. 
She died on 21 Aug 1870 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia at age 73.  She was buried
at Clear Creek Cemetery in Gilmer County, Georgia.

Children from this marriage were:

6    F     i.  Eliza Ann Davis was born on 12 Mar 1822 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.  She died
   on 24 Mar 1887 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia at age 65.  She was buried at Clear Creek
   Cemetery in Gilmer County, Georgia.
   
   Eliza married Peter Fincannon.  Peter was born in 1822 in North Carolina. He died in Federal
   Prison Camp - Civil War.
   
7    M    ii.  James Madison Davis was born on 25 Oct 1823 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He
   died on 12 Jul 1902 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia at age 78.
   
   James married Mary Melvina Chastain on 20 Feb 1842 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia. 
   Mary was born on 6 Apr 1824.  She died on 30 Apr 1895 at age 71.
   
8    M   iii.  Miles Milton Davis was born about 1827.
   
   Miles married Caroline Mathis on 22 Aug 1850 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.
   
9    M   iv.  John William Davis was born on 10 Jun 1830 in Georgia.
   
   John married Frances S. Mathis, daughter of Samuel and Essey Mathis, on 22 Oct 1850 in
   Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.  Frances was born in 1836 in South Carolina.
   
10    F    v.  Sarah Davis was born about 1832 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.  Sarah married Silas
   Fincannon on 23 Nov 1848 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.  Silas was born in 1830 in North
   Carolina.
   
11    M   vi.  Pickney Davis was born in Mar 1833 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.
   
   Pickney married Margaret Kell on 5 Jan 1866 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.
   
12    F   vii.  Nettie Adaline Davis was born on 20 Sep 1836 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia.  She died on
   8 Jun 1900 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia at age 63.  She was buried at The Ellijay City
   Cemetery in Gilmer County, Georgia.
   
   Nettie married William Clark Bearden on 22 Jun 1854 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia. 
   William died during Civil War.
   
   Nettie next married Martin Van Buren Teem.  Martin was born in 1842.  He died in 1907 at
   age 65.

4. Elizabeth Davis was born about 1815 in South Carolina.

Elizabeth married
William Minter Mathis on 9 Aug 1835 in Ellijay, Gilmer County, Georgia. 
William was born about 1808 in North Carolina.  He died on 24 Sep 1887 in Ellijay,
Gilmer County, Georgia about age 79.  He was buried at
Minter Mathis Cemetery in Gilmer County, Georgia.
