Would welcome contact with researchers who have families in related areas.

*Most researchers have Letilla's name spelled as Satilla or Satillia.  In the 1860 census, the first letter of her name looks like an S, but  when compared to other names in the census, it is written the same as the L in Lee, for example. The census taker's S is entirely different from the L in Letilla's name.

I've been told since I was a young child, the family was related to Jesse James.  That was long before I discovered Louisa James was an ancestor.  None of my relatives knew anything about her.  I've never been able to find a link, but a cousin I found on the internet, David   mldv@juno.com, said he'd been told the same thing and that Jesse James had even come to visit his ancestor one time.  With this in mind, below are two Jesse James family web sites:

Jesse James Family Tree:  http://www.rootsweb.com/~daisy/jjames.htm

Another Jesse James Family Tree:  http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Ranch/8225/william.html

Also, here is cousin David's web site:  http://freepages.history.rootsweb.com/~ivyplace/index.html
