Biography:

In the Midway Cemetery in Lamar County, MS is a grave: Sarah M. Barratt (sic) June 1, 1833 - Feb.. 1, 1905. As per Ann Lila and Gail Howell, quoting from "The Complete Book of Lamar County cemeteries", 1992 Edition, next to Sarah is her sister L. A. Hembree (Lenora Ann, b. 24 Feb 1832, d, 21 Nov 1901) Lenora was divorced from her husband, Daniel Washington Hembree (Civil War Vet) and living with her parents, Arthur Barrett and Mary Caradine Barrett, in 1870. In 1877, Lenora Ann, Sarah M, and their brother Reuben W. and family left Neshoba County for Scott County. Reuben settled in Homewood, Scott Co. and died there, tho he was buried across the line in Smith County. Lenora had sons Thomas Andrew Jackson Hembree and Daniel Wallace Hembree.
