Anderson County, SC Inventories, Appraisements, and Sales. Book 1 1839-1845. 15 Oct 1851. Inventory: Goods and chattels of Dr. John Robinson, deceased, of Pendleton Village, SC. Over one hundred names are recorded under Estate Notes. Among these are:

Arthur Barrett, Thomas Rackley, Wm. Barrett, Michael Kennemore, Lewis Barett.

William Barrettís name is listed with a parenthetical comment: Wm Barrett (Stiller). This remark is unclear. The only other such entry is one for: Joshua Smith (Hampís son). Perhaps the Stiller notation is some attempt to distinguish between two contemporaneous William Barretts.
