281: 104 September court 1789: At a court held by adjournment of the House of John Coats on 7 Sept 1789. Present: Jacob Roberts Brown, George Ruff & Mercer Babb. Pursuant to Law the court doth proceed to draw the Grand & Pettit Jurors for December Term. The following Persons Drawn to Serve as Grand Jurors to wit: [list of 20 Grand Jurors]. Pettit Jury to wit: [list of 30 Pettit Jurors including Arthur Barrett].

339: 125 March Court 1790: Brasilman & Co. Plaintiffs against John Mason & William Barret Defendants. In case Came the Plaintiff by their attorney and the Defendants Barret comes into court and confessíd Judgmít for the sum of £6 13 with interest from 25 Apr 1789 with costs.

385: 141 June Court 1790: Harter Barrett listed as Pettit Juror.

433: 159 October Term 1791: On application of Abigal Barrett for a citation on the rights & credits of Nathaniel Barrett decíd to cite and admonish all and singular the Kindred and creditors to shew cause if any they can why the administration should not be granted her ordered that a citation Issue returnable to next court.

462: 173 July Term 1792: James Barrett listed as Pettit Juror for February Term 1793.

490: 185 February Term 1793: James Barrett served as Pettit Juror.

657: 259 February Term 1796: At a court begun and held for Newberry county at the court house on 29 Feb 1796. Present James Mayson JNC. Pursuant to law the court proceed to draw to Grand and Pettit Jury for next term to wit the Grand Jury [list of 30 Grand Jurors]. The Pettit Jury drawn To wit [list of 24 Pettit Jurors]. [continued next page (658), list of 22 prospective jurors including Onslow Barrett]. Ordered that a Venieri facias issue to the sheriff of this county to summon the above persons to serve as Grand & Pettit Jurors next July term.

682: 270 May Term 1796: Upon the petition of Sarah Carle ordered that Arthur Barret a Minor of Jacob Barrett be bound unto Henry Hollingsworth until he arrive at the age of 21 years (who is at this time 7 year old) and the said Hollensworth do agree to give said Minor a year and half of schooling between the age of 15 and 21 years, also to provide good and sufficient support for said Minor during his apprenticeship with him and at the end of said time said Hollingsworth agrees to furnish said Minor with a good suit of clothes a horse, saddle, and bridle, to be worth £10.

684: 271 May Term 1796: Upon motion ordered that Jemima Barrett a Minor of Jacob Barrett be bound unto John Dawbins untill [sic] she arrive at the age of 18 years (who is now two years old) and three months and the said Dawbins to hereby agree to provide for the said minor sufficient support of every kind during her apprenticeship with him and two year schooling with a cow and calf and a good cotton wheel at the time she arrives to the age of 18 year aforesaid.
