Former Grandfalls Resident Buried at Comanche
G. W. Stapp, long time Grandfalls resident, died early last Wednesday in Comanche where he was making his home with a daughter. Burial was on Thursday in Comanche.
Mr Stapp is survived by two sons, two daughters. Among the grandchildren are Mrs. Opal Darrell of Humble Camp, Mrs Fred Lynch of Ft Stockton and Miss Maurine Swope of San Angelo.

Mrs. G.W. Stapp Buried at G’Falls
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at Grandfalls for Mrs. Martha Agnes Stapp, 68, wife of G. W. Stapp of that city, who died Sunday night. Rev. Hollis Yielding of the Grandfalls Baptist Church conducted the services and interment was in the Grandfalls Cemetery.
Mrs. Stapp had made her home in south Ward County for the past 12 years and was widely known throughout the county. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and two sons, Walter Stapp, formerly of Monahans but now residing at Alpine and Frank Stapp of Menard. A number of grandchildren also survive.

Services for Acy Franklin Stapp will be held today (Thursday) at 4 p.m. in Hodges Funeral Home Chapel with Leonard Driskell, College Street Church of Christ pastor, of the Pentacostal Church, officiating. Interment will be in Junction Cemetery.
Frank was born in Voca Feb. 24, 1895, and died in his home in Junction March 1, after months of suffering from injuries received in an automibile accident Dec. 28 near Ballinger. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Mr. Stapp and Miss Josephine Harriss of Junction were married April 25, 1913. They lived here for sometime after their marriage, returning in 1937 to make Junction their home. Mrs. Josephine Stapp died Dec. 11, 1950, leaving seven sons and her husband.
Mrs. Lucretia Jones of Kerrville was married to Frank Stapp March 31, 1955, and they have continued to make their home here, where Frank was engaged in the plumbing business. They have an adopted son, John A. Survivors include his wife and eight sons: Orville of Monahan¹s, Harold, Elmo and T.J. of Fort Stockton, A.D. of Fresnillo, Mexico, Gene of Grand Falls, Kenneth of Ellicott City, Md., and John A. of the home, and 16 grandchildren. All of the boys and their families were here with the exception of A.D. and Kenneth. They had been here when their father was first injured but did not return on account of the distance.
Two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Jones of Comanche and Mrs. Susie Owens of Odessa, and a brother Walter Stapp of Blackwell also survive.

FORT STOCKTON - Joan M. Stapp, 75, of Fort Stockton died Saturday, Aug 26, 2000, in an Odessa hospital.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church with burial in East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fort Stockton Funeral Home.
She was born July 17, 1925, in Rochester, England. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband George Elmo Stapp of Fort Stockton, two sons, George Stapp of Roswell, N M and Dean Stapp of Sanderson; a brother Albert Keam of Rochester; and three grandchildren.

T. J. STAPP
Kerrville, - Mr. T. J. Stapp, age 70, of Ingram and Fort Stockton passed away Sunday, April 29, 2001, at a Fredericksburg hospital. Mr. Stapp was born June 1, 1930, in Howard County to Acy Franklin Stapp and Carrie Josephine Harris Stapp.
He served in the United States Marines from 1948 to 1952. He married Clara Ann Lumpkins June 9, 1951, in Mexico. He was a plumbing contractor and owner of T. J. Stapp Plumbing Co. Mr. Stapp was a member of the First Christian Church of Fort Stockton.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ann Stapp of Ingram; daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Bill Rothrock of Kerrville and Glenna and Virgil Carr of Pottsboro; a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Brigette Stapp of Center Point; five brothers, Harold Stapp of Lubbock, Elmo Stapp of Fort Stockton, A. D. Stapp of Junction, Gene Stapp of Junction and Kenneth Stapp of McKinney; five grandchildren, Tori Lewis, Teresa Gonzales, Snapper Carr, Derek Stapp and Megan Stapp; and three great-grandchildren, Chrinstina Gonzales, Christian Gonzales and Major Carr.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 201, at Grimes Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Ernest Waggoner officiating. Interment to follow at Center Point Cemetery in Center Point.
Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Society. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
