The Noyce family is descended from William Noyce and Elizabeth Nicholas of Downton, Wilts.  Unfortunately, there are two women named Elizabeth Nicholas in the Downton parish records, who could have been the spouse of Wiliam Noyce; one christened on 21 November 1748, the daughter of Thomas Nicholas and Elizabeth; the other christened on 20 February 1747, the daughter of Josias and Martha Nicholas.  There only appears to have been one wedding, so there is no way of knowing which family Elizabeth belonged to. I could also find no trace of William's birth in the Downton parish records.
