JANE BARLOW DEAD
Irish Novelist Who Received a Degree from Dublin University.

    LONDON,    April  20.   -- 
  Jane Barlow, a well-known writer, who recieved   the  honorary  degree  of   D. Litt.  from  Dublin   University,   died  Tuesday.    She  was  born  in   Clontarf,  County Dublin,  the duaghter of  J.W.   Barlow,  who  was the  eminent  vice-provost  of   Trinity College, Dublin.

  Some  of  her  works were:  "Bogland Studies,"   published in  1892; "Irish Idylls,"  published  in    the  same  year;   "Kerrigan's  Quality,"  1893;   "The End of Elfintown,"  1894;  "The  Battle of   the Frogs  and   Mice,"  1894;  "Mrs.  Martin's   Company,"  1896;  "Creel of the Irish Stories,"   1897; "From the Land of the Shamrock," 1900;    "The   Founding   of    Fortunes,"    1902;   and    "Doings and Dealings," in 1913.
