DAN REED

Funeral services for Dan Reed, 91, formerly of Augusta, were held Thursday at the Cookson-Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, with Rev. Glen Stewart officiating.  Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta.

Mr. Reed died Mon., Dec. 8, in the Hancock County Nursing Home in Carthage.

He was born June 20, 1889, in Floyd County, Va., a son of Noah and Nancy Poff Reed.  He married Ollie White, who died in 1968.

He was a member of the J. L. Anderson Lodge 318 AF & AM in Augusta and a World War I veteran.

He had no immediate survivors.
