come greeting Know ye that by virtue and in Consideration of part of a land
office Exchanged Treasury Warrant Number one hundred and forty one ifsued the
Second day of August one thousand Seven hundred and eighty four there is
granted by the said Commonwealth unto Daniel Shelor Afsignee of James Beaver
who was Afsignee of John Minter a Certain tract or parcel of land Containing
six hundred and forty Acres by Survey bearing Date the Seventh Day of March one
thousand seven Hundred and eighty seven lying & being in the County of
Botetourt in little River and old field Creek adjoining the land of Josiah
Terry and Samuel Eason including a survey of one hundred & three Acres and
Bounded as followeth To wit Beginning at three white oaks corner to Terry
thence South thirty Degrees West forty six poles to a forked white oak South
thirty four Degrees East one hundred poles to a white oak and hickory South
West one hundred and forty poles to two white oaks North eighty seven Degrees
West thirty eight Poles to a white oak Sapling South forty two Degrees West
sixty six Poles crofsing old field Creek to a black oak on a Hill side North

six hundred and twenty six, ifsued the seventh day of October one thousand
seven hundred and eighty two, There is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto
Daniel Shelor Afsignee of John Moore, a certain Tract or parcel of Land
Containing four hundred and sixty eight Acres, by survey bearing date the
twelfth day of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight, Lying and
being in the County of Botetourt, on Pine Creek a branch of little River and is
bounded as followeth to Wit Beginning at two white oaks thence East one hundred
and forty six poles to a Hickory and chesnut North three degrees and thirty
minutes East one hundred and twenty eight poles crofsing the Road and a branch
to a gum and large chesnut, south forty eight degrees East seventy one poles to
a white oak North seventy degrees East one hundred and twelve poles to a white
oak and Black oak South seventeen degrees West two hundred poles to a white oak
sapling and chesnut south fifty nine degrees and thirty minutes East one
hundred poles to a white oak and red oak south one hundred and seventeen poles
to a Hickory and white oak by a branch, south forty one degrees West one
hundred & twenty poles crofsing a path to a white oak in the head of a
hollow thence North thirty nine degrees West four hundred and twenty four to
the beginning, with its appurtenances To have and to hold the said tract or
parcel of Land with its appurtenances To the said Daniel Shelor and his Heirs

eleventh day of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight, Lying and
being in the County of Montgomery on Pine Creek and old Field Creek being
branches of little River adjoining land of Daniel Shelor, and is bounded as
followeth to Wit Beginning at two white oaks near Dickerson’s path thence
North sixty four degrees East five hundred poles to a white oak on a hill,
North five degrees West forty poles to a white oak, North West forty poles
crofsing pine Creek to two white oaks, North sixty one degrees East eighty
poles crofsing said Creek twice to a large white oak South eighty one degrees
West one hundred and nine poles crofsing the Creek to a Hickory and white oak
corner to Shelor, and with his lines, South West one hundred and forty poles to
his corner two white oaks, North eighty seven degrees West thirty eight poles
to a white oak sapling South forty two degrees West sixty six poles crofsing
old Field Creek to his corner black oak on a hill side, leaving said lines,
North twenty degrees East three hundred and twenty one poles to the beginning,
with its Appurtenances To have and to hold the said Tract of parcel of Land

hundred and ninety four, There is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto Daniel
Shelor afsignee of Samuel Henry A Certain tract or parcel of land Containing
two hundred and thirty acres, by survey bearing date the ninth day of April one
thousand seven hundred and ninety five, lying and being in the County of
Montgomery on a branch of old field Creek, waters of little River, waters of
New River and bounded as followeth to wit, beginning at three white Oaks in a
line of Ambrest Matthews old survey North thirty two degrees West seventy four
poles to three white Oaks corner to said Survey and with a line thereof South
seventy six degrees West forty six poles to a hickory North sixty seven degrees
West sixty four poles to four white Oaks South fifty degrees West twenty two
poles to two white Oaks North forty poles to two white Oaks corner to
Lewis’s land and with a line thereof North sixty two degrees East two
hundred and twenty two poles South thirty eight degrees East eighty poles to

come Greeting: know ye, That by virtue of an Exchange Treasury warrant, No.
1007, ifsued the 7th of January 1801, there is granted by the said
Commonwealth unto Daniel Sheilor senior, A certain Tract or parcel of Land,
containing Eighty acres by survey bearing date the 27th of February
1804, lying in the County of Montgomery, on the waters of the West fork of
Little river, and bounded as followeth to wit, Beginning at a white oak corner
to John Carter’s land, north forty five degrees west, twenty one poles to
a black oak and white oak, corner to Land of Peter Sanders’ senior and
with lines, thereof north thirty six degrees east, sixty eight poles to three
black gums; north sixty one degrees west, one hundred and thirty two poles,
crofsing a branch to two black oaks and two chesnuts near the top of a ridge,
thence leaving said line north fourteen degrees east, eighty two poles to two
chesnut oaks and a white oak corner to Richard Well’s land and with a
line of the same, south seventy three degrees east, eighty six poles to a
double chesnut on the top of a ridge, corner to McHenry’s land, and with
a line of the same south fifteen and a half degrees east, ninety poles crofsing
a branch to two white oaks on a line of McCutchen’s land and with the
same south eight degrees east, seventy poles to a black oak on a ridge corner
to John Carter’s land, and with his line south fifty seven and a half
degrees west, sixty three poles to the beginning; with its appurtenances; To
have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land, with its appurtenances, to
the said Daniel Sheilor and his heirs forever. In witnefs whereof the said John
Tyler, Esquire, Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto set his
hand, and caused the lefser Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at
Richmond, on the fourteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord, one
