It seems to be agreed by many sources that John Gorham, son of James Gorham and Hannah Huckins (born 2 Aug 1680) married an Anne Brown on 24 Feb 1705/6. 372
The identity of Ann Brown is controversial. Elizabeth White, in "John Howland of the Mayflower", Vol. 1 says that she was born in Ireland. However, other sources name an Ann Brown who was born 19 Sept 1673 in Swansea, Plymouth Colony and say that she 'probably m. Feb. 1705/6 John Gorham. This Ann Brown was the daughter of Captain John Brown (b. Sept. 1650, d. 24 Nov 1709) and Anna Mason (b. June 1650, d. 30 Jan 1672). Capt John Brown was the son of Ensign John Browne (d. 1662) and ?.
