The Story:

Alfred Moss, (father of Pat and Grandfather to the above mentioned children), worked at various jobs, until he began driving a eighteen wheeler, (Truck Driver).  He drove for 45 years, he received an award for never having a accident while driving.  As a side note, I recall a story related by my Uncle Bob, (Brother to Pat) back in 1988 about his father that early in his driving career he had a driving partner named “Jimmy Hoffa” before his entry into the Teamster Union.  He developed a tumor in his bladder, he began to refuse his blood work after his chemotherapy treatments and developed blood poising and died in October 1972.

Mary Lousie, (Mother to Pat), was a homemaker, stated at one time she would have liked to have been a teacher.  Enjoyed reading detective stories and eating cold fried chicken. Enjoyed music, singing, and church. Served large holiday dinners and decorating the house for each holiday. She developed Breast Cancer progressing to the bone. Died 7-25-65. Alfred and Mary had (9) children. Eugene, Richard, Dolores, Patricia, (Mary Ellen who died a 9 months from Mastoid both ears and pneumonia), Thomas, Robert, Carl and Gary.

Louis Hoffman was a butcher in Detroit, his (3) sons also were butchers. He was an alcoholic when he died from a heart attach in 1956.

Louise Hoffman was a happy person who laugh a lot, worked hard was a good cook enjoyed people. She was a big fat lady, who was loved a lot by all. She died from congestive heart failure. They had (3) boys and 1 girl; Emil, Robert, Melvin and Mary. Mary died in 1965 and Emil in 1985, Robert in 1983 from cancer.

Lena Belonki arrived in America with her daughter Louise who was carrying Mary Louise. She could not speak English, she lived with her daughter Louise until she died of breast cancer in 1952.
