Homer D Custer appears to have died at home with no doctor in attendance. His father is listed as Emanuel Custer, born in Maryland and his mother is Virginia Dewitt of Sang Run, MD. Sang Run and Hoyes are only about 5 miles from each other. Interestingly, the death certificate was filed more than a month after Homer died, and is filled in entirely by the registrar, N.H. Casteel. Mr Casteel states the cause of death to be Rheumatism, from which Homer had been suffering for more that 4 years.
