married Janet Weatherspoon in Methven Scotland on 19th
November 1809.

Janice/Janet Weatherspoon was born in Scotland 1790
parents are unknown.
Scottish Census
1841-51: The Scottish 1841 census states Janet Gorrie was
living at Ruthven and aged 50yrs, her occupation printfield. She
was then living with 6 of her children James 20, Henry c.20,
Thomas 15, Andrew c.15, David 12. In
the 1851 census she was by
then 60years and a widow, still living with their mother were
James 32, Henry 30, David 22, Janet 20.
Death: James died on 12th February 1834 aged
45years at Pitcairn Redgorton Scotland.
