Son of Christian Constantine F. Jans & Anna Maria Grau

Birth: Christian August JANS  was born 25 Dec 1837 in Sebbelev, Ketting sogn. Denmark (prior to parents marriage), and died 01 Feb 1929 in Flensborg Tyskland.

Marriage: He married Sofie Margrethe Lorenzen 09 Nov 1860 in Sonderborg, daughter of Lorenze Lorenzen and Sofia Jorgensen.

1845 Census: Christian August at this time was 8 years old and living with his grandparents Jürgen Andressen Grua aged 51years a Bolsmann(farmer) and Anna Sophia nee Vogt aged 45. Also living with this family were Jurgen Jurgensen Grau 17, Andreas Grau, 25, Hans Christian Grau11, Ramus Rasmussen Vogt 76, Charlotte Maria Moldt 19.

Note: Bohlsmann was a farmer. He owns a farm, which was called in the northern part of
Schleswig-Holstein a 'Bohl', so a man who owns a Bohl, was a bohlsman or in
German Bohlsmann.

Wife born: She was born 02 Mar 1835 in Lysabild, and died 16 May 1901 in Flensborg Tyskland.

1. ANDREAS JANS, b. 30 Nov 1878, Vesebymark.. He married Georgine Margaretha Elisabeth Maskov.
