This ndenture made this Twenty Eighth day of July in the Year of our Lord Seventeen Hundred and Eighty eight Between Adam Forney of the County of Baltimore in the State of Maryland of the one part and Peter Bankard of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Whereas George Steyer[?] by his Indenture of Lease bearing date the Second day of September Seventeen Hundred & Eighty two for the Consideration therein mentioned did demise Grant lease and to Farm Let unto Frederick Reinhard[?] his Executors Administrators and Assigns all that part of a Lott or parcel of Ground Situate and lying in Howards late addition to Baltimore Town and known and distinguished on a platt thereof by the Number Six Hundred and Thirty nine which said part of a Lott or parcel of Ground is Contained within the metes bounds Courses and distances within said Indenture of Lease mentioned and Expressed to wit the said part of Lot or parcel of Ground unto him the said Frederick Reinhard his Executors Administrators and assigns for ever during [?] to the [?] and term of ninety nine Years next [?] and hereby to be Complete and ended subject to the payments of the Rents and performance of the Covenants therein expressed with Covenants also therein contained for Renewment from time to time for ever as by the said Lease recorded among the Records of Baltimore County Containing[?] Reference thereunto being had will more fully and at large appear.  Whereas the said Frederick Reinhard by his Indenture of assignment bearing date the Twenty fourth day of May Seventeen Hundred and Eighty three for the Consideration therein mentioned did grant bargain sell assign Transfer and set over unto the said Adam Forney his Executors Administrators and assigns part of the aforesaid part of Lot or parcel of Ground which is Contained within the following metes and bounds Courses and distances to wit:  Beginning for [?] the said part of the aforesaid part of Lot or parcel of Ground at the ed of thirty feet westerly on German Street from the South West corner of German and Liberty Streets and running thence Easterly on German Street Thirty feet to Liberty Street thence with said binding on Liberty Street Southerly Eight feet to a [?] [?] alley thence Westerly on said Alley Eighteen Feet to a Line of Peter Grubbs Lott thence with and binding on said Line to the place of Beginning to Hold the said part of the aforesaid part of Lot or parcel of Ground unto him the said Adam Forney his Executors Administrators or assigns for and during all the Rest Residue and Remainder of the said Term of Ninety nine Years therein Yet to come and unexpired and by the said Indenture of Assignment Recorded among the Records of Baltimore County Court in Liber WG No. P Folio 382 Reference thereunto being had will more fully and at large appear.  And whereas Sundry Agreements and Exchanges of property have heretofore taken place by and Between a certain Jacob Grown and a Certain Jacob Rader both of Baltimore county with the before named Adam Forney with Respect to particular parts of the hereafter described Ground now Intended hereby to be Conveyed for which Leases and Releases have Been given by the parties although not Recorded in due time all which property Lott or Lotts of Ground so hereafter to be described have by Agreement Exchange or purchase reverted to the before named Adam Forney his Executors Administrators or assigns under the particular Agreements and Covenants by the said parties respectively entered into therefore Now This Indenture witnesseth that the said Adam Forney for and in Consideration of the sum of Ninety pounds specie Current money to him in hand paid by the said Peter Bankart at or before the Sealing and delivery hereof the Receipt whereof he the said Adam Forney doth hereby acknowledge and himself to be therewith fully Contented and paid hath given granted Bargained Sold assigned Transferred and set over and by these presents doth give grant Bargain Sell Assign Transfer and set over unto the aforesaid Peter Bankard his Executors Administrators and Assigns all that part of a part of Lott or parcel of Ground as is Contained in the following metes & Bounds Courses and distances  Beginning for the same at the end of Thirty feet westerly on German Street from the South west Corner of German and Liberty Streets and Running thence Easterly on German Street Thirty feet to Liberty Street thence with and binding on Liberty Street southerly fifty five feet to Jacob Brown House thence westerly twenty three feet four Inches to a line of Peter Grubbs Lott thence with and binding on Said Line northerly to the place of Beginning together with the premises thereon being and all and every the appurtenances and Advantages thereunto belonging and all the Estate Right Title Interest Term of Years Yet to come property claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Adam Forney therein or thereto  To Have and to Hold the said part of Lot or parcel of Ground with the appurtenances & advantages thereunto belonging unto the said Peter Bankard his Executors Administrators and assigns for and during the rest residue & remainder of the said Term of ninety nine Years therein Yet to come and unexpired in as fully large ample and beneficial manner to all intents and purposes whatsoever as he the said Adam Forney might Should Could or ought to have held and Enjoyed the same by any was or means whatsoever and the said Adam Forney for himself his Heirs and assigns doth Covenant promise Grant and Agree to and with the said Peter Bankard his Executors Administrators and assigns that upon the said Peter Bankard his Executors Administrators or assigns paying the Rent or sum of one Shilling Current money Yearly and every Year upon the times and in the manner and form as the Yearly Rents in and by the [?] [?] [?] Indenture of Lease are Reserved to be paid and are paid [rest of line unclear] Substantial dwelling house upon the said part of Lot or parcel of Ground within the Space of Two Years from the day of the date hereof of the Yearly [?] of Fifteen pounds Current money shall and may at all times hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold use occupy possess and may the above assigned part of Lot of Ground and premises without the Let [?] Trouble or hindrance of him the said Adam Forney or his Heirs or any other person or persons  [rest of line unclear] by from or under him or them and further that he the said Peter Bankard his Heirs Executors Administrators or assigns on payment of the sum of three pounds Sterling [rest of This Indenture made this twenty Eighth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and ninety three Between John Eager Howard of Baltimore County Gentleman of the one part and Peter Banckard of the Town of Baltimore butcher of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Eager Howard for and in Consideration of the sum of Sixty Pound Current money to him in hand paid by the said Peter Bankard the receipt whereof the said John Eager Howard Doth hereby acknowledge and himself therewith to be fully Satisfied and paid Hath Granted bargained Sold aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents Doth Grant bargain Sell enfeoff alien and Confirm unto the said Peter Banckard his heirs and assigns all that piece or parcel of Ground lying and being in Howards late addition to Baltimore Town which is Contained within the following metes and bounds Courses and distances to wit Beginning for the same on Conway Street and on the north side thereof and at the distance of Ninety nine feet East from Howard Street and running thence East binding on Conway street thirty three feet thence north parallel with Howard Street to Brandy Alley thence west binding on said alley thirty three feet thence south parallel with Howard Street to the beginning Together with all Buildings Improvements advantages and Emoluments to the said piece or parcel of Grand and Premises belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents Issues and Profits of in and to the said piece of Ground and Premises and every part thereof  To Have and To Hold the said piece or parcel of Ground and Premises with all and Every of the appurtenances unto him the said Peter Banckard his heirs and assigns for ever to the only use and behoof of him the said Peter Banckard his heirs and assigns for ever and to no other intent use or purpose whatever and the said John Eager Howard for himself his heirs and assigns doth Covenant and agree to and with the said Peter Banckard his heirs and assigns that he the said John Eager Howard his heirs and assigns [?] and will whenever thereto required at the proper cost and Charge of him the said Peter Banckard his heirs and assigns make do and Execute or cause to be made done and Executed any other act or acts Deed or Deeds for the more Effectual Conveyance of the aforesaid piece or parcel or Ground and Premises the Peter Banckard his heirs and assigns for ever as by the said Peter Banckard his heirs and assigns or his or their Counsel Learned in the Law may be reasonably advised Desired or Required.  In Witness whereof the said John Eager Howard hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written.

This Indenture made this seventeenth day of October seventeen hundred and ninety seven Between Peter Bankard of Baltimore Town in Baltimore County and State of Maryland of the one part and John Bausman of the same place of the other part Whereas Adam Forney by his Indenture of assignment bearing date the twenty Eighth day of July seventeen hundred and Eighty Eight for the Considerations therein mentioned did assign Transfer, & set over unto the above named Peter Bankard his Executors Administrators and assigns all that part of a lot or parcel of Ground situate lying and being in Baltimore Town being part of lot number six hundred and thirty nine and which part is Contained within the following metes & bounds Courses and Distances to wit Beginning for the same part at the end of thirty feet westerly on German Street from the south west Corner of German and Liberty Streets and running thence easterly on German street thirty feet to Liberty Street thence with and binding on liberty street southerly fifty five feet to Jacob Browns house thence westerly twenty three feet four Inches to a line of Peter Grubs lot thence with and binding on said line Northerly to the Place of Beginning subject to the yearly rent of One shilling Current money reference being had to said assignment recorded among the Land Records of Baltimore County Court in Liber WG No. BB folio 711 &c. may more fully and at large appear; Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said Peter Bankard for and in Consideration of the sum of three hundred and twenty seven pounds ten shillings Current money to him in hand paid by the within named John [Couple of words missing] at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents [whole line missing] Peter Bankard therewith to be fully satisfied Contented and paid Hath Granted Bargained sold assigned Transferred and set over and by these presents doth Bargain sell assign Transfer and set over unto the said John Bausman his Executors administrators and assigns all that the herein before mentioned and described part of a lot or parcel of Ground and Premises with the appurtenances and Advantages thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the Estate right Title Interest term of years yet to come & unexpired in the original lease for the same.  Properly Claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Peter Bankard of in and to the same and of in and to every Part and Parcel thereof.  To have and To Hold the within recited and described part of a lot or parcel of ground and Premises with the appurtenances and advantages thereunto belonging unto him the said John Bausman his Executors administrators and assigns for and during all the rest residue and remainder of the Term of Ninety nine Years which is now to come and unexpired in the Original lease for the same, in as full large ample and beneficial a manner to all interests and Purposes whatsoever as he the said Peter Bankard might should Could or ought to have held and enjoyed the same by force and Virtue of the within recited Indenture of assignment or by any other ways or means whatsoever Subject to Yearly rent or sum of One Shilling Current money (if Demanded) and the said Peter Bankard for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators doth Covenant promise grant & Give to and with the said John Bausman his Executors Administrators and assigns that he the said John Bausman his Executors Administrators and assigns upon Payment of the above mentioned Yearly rent (if demanded) shall and may at all times hereafter during the Continuance of the Original lease for the same Peaceably and quietly have hold use occupy posses and enjoy the aforesaid part of a lot or parcel [Line cut off top of 224] hindrance molestation interruption or Denial of him the said Peter Bankard or any Person or Persons Claiming by from or under him and on the Payment of the sum of three Pounds Sterling money as a fine shall have renewment of the same from time to time for ever  In Witness whereof the said Peter Bankard hath herto set his hand & affixed his seal the day and Year first above Written

This Indenture made the Twenty eighth day of June in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and six Between Peter Bankard of the City of Baltimore of the one part and John Leinhart Siglar of the same place of the other part WITNESSETH that WHEREAS a certain Phillip Clapdore and Jacob Clapdore of Baltimore County by their Indenture of lease bearing date on or about the twelfth day of July in the year Eighteen hundred and three duly executed and recorded among the land records of Baltimore in Liber W G No. 76 folio 620 did grant bargain sell assign transfer and set over unto the said Peter Bankard his heirs executors administrators and assigns all that part of a tract of land called Davids Fancy situate lying and being in Baltimore County and contained within the following metes bounds Courses and distances to wit Beginning at the south west corner of the land leased to Jno Martin in July seventeen hundred and seventy nine and running South six degrees east eighteen perches and half a perch to a stone standing on the east side of the road leading to the Ferry Point thence north eighty two degrees east twenty six perches to a stone standing on the west side of Back street thence north six degrees west Eighteen perches and half a perch to the end of the third line of the whole lot of land leased by Jno Moale to Jno Gould by deed bearing date on or about the twentieght day of June in the year seventeen hundred & ninety and thence to the place of BEGINNING containing three acres of land more or less To hold unto the said Peter Bankard his heirs executors administrators and assigns for and during all the rest residue and the remainder of the term of years then to come and unexpired in the Original lease from Jno Moale to Jno Gould and from the said Jno Goald lto the said Philip & Jacob Clapdore with the benefit of renewal from time to time forever at and under the yearly rent of sixty dollars as mentioned in the lease from the said Clapdore’s to the said Peter relations being thereunto had will more fully appear Now this Indenture WITNESSETH that the said Peter Bankard for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred Dollars Current money to him in hand paid by the said Jno Leinhart Sigler at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof the said Peter Bankard doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold assigned transferred and set over unto the said Jno Leinhart Sigler his executors administrators and assigns all the said lot or parcel of ground and premises above mentioned and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances thereunto belonging TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said lot or parcel of ground and premises above mentioned and hereby granted and assigned and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Jno Leinhart Siglar his executors administrators and assigns for and during all the rest residue and remainder yet to come and unexpired of the said term of ninety nine years in and by the said part recited indenture of lease granted and assigned in as full large and ample manner to all intents and purposes as him the said Peter Bankard his heirs executors administrators and assigns might should or ought to have held and enjoy the same by virtue of the said [?] Indenture of lease or by any other means or ways whatsoever and the said Jno Leinhart Siglar doth hereby Covenant and agree to and with the said Peter Bankard that he the said Jno Leinhart Siglar and his assigns shall and will well and truly pay to the said Jno Gould his executors administrators and assigns the annual rent or sum of sixty dollars Current money reserved to be paid by the lease from the said Clapdore’s to said Bankard and the said Bankard doth Covenant to deliver the said lot or parcel of ground to the said Siglar clear of any arrears or back rents In Witness thereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.

This Indenture made the twenty fourth day of March Eighteen hundred and ten Between Jacob Wyman of Baltimore County of the one part and Lovace Bankar of the same County of the other part WITNESSETH that the said Jacob Wyman inconsideration of the sum of Two Hundred dollars to him paid by the said Lovace Bankar at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold assigned transferred and set over and by these presents Doth grant bargain sell assign transfer and set over unto the said Lovace Baker her heirs executors administrators and assigns all that share or proportion of the estate both real and personal of Peter Bankar late of Baltimore County deceased to which the said Jacob Wyman is entitled in his own right or in right of his wife Esther and all his right title interest claim and demand either at law or in equity therein or thereto TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the same unto the said Lovace Banker her heirs executors administrators and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Lovace Banker her heirs executors administrators and assigns forever in as full and ample manner as the said Jacob Wyman might or could have held and enjoyed the same   In Witness whereof the said Jacob Wyman hath hereto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written

This Indenture made the fifth day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eleven ------------ Between  Lovace Bankard in right of herself and as administratrix of all and singular the goods and chattels of Peter Bankard late of Baltimore County deceased Catherine Weishample Jacob Bankard Peter Bankard Peter Tesch and Mary his wife Charles Purpur and Matalena his wife Frederick Sensener and Lovace his wife John Lanehart Zigler and Barbara his wife and Hester Wyman of the one part and Owen Dorsey of the same county of the other part WHEREAS for the purpose of affecting sale of the real and lease-hold estate of the said Peter Bankard deceased and of dividing the purchase money in the manner herein after mentioned this deed is made and executed Now this Indenture WITNESSETH that the said Lovace Bankerd Catherine Weishample Jacob Bankard Peter Bankard Peter Tesch and Mary his wife Charles Purpeir and Matelona his wife Frederick Sensener and Lovace his wife John L Zigler and Barbara his wife and Hester Wyman in consideration of the premises and of the sum of one dollar to them paid by the said Owen Dorsey at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold assigned conveyed and set over and by these presents do grant bargain sell assign convey and set over unto the said Owen Dorsey his heirs executors administrators and assigns all and singular the following pieces of parcels of ground and premises that is to say all that piece or parcel of ground lying and being in Howards late addition to Baltimore Town (now the city of Baltimore) heretofore conveyed to the said Peter Bankard by John Eager Howard by deed bearing date the twenty eighth day of February seventeen hundred and ninety three and recorded among the land records of Baltimore County Court in Liber WG No LL folio 307 &c and therein particularly described by courses and distances also all that piece or parcel of ground situate in the said addition being one half part of lot number seven hundred and fifty nine heretofore leased by John Eager Howard to the said Peter Bankard by Indenture of lease bearing date the fourteenth day of May seventeen hundred and ninty four and recorded among the records aforesaid in Liber WG No 00 folio 310 &c and therein particularly described by courses and distances also all that piece or parcel of ground heretofore assigned by Christopher Banker to the said Peter Bankard by the name of Peter Banker by Indenture bearing date the sixteenth day of January seventeen hundred and eighty six and recorded among the records aforesaid in Liber WG No & folio 219 &c the same being situate on Conway Street and particularly by courses and distances described in said Indenture together with the buildings and appurtenances thereunto belonging and all the estate right title interest term of years to come property claim and demand whatsoever either at law or in equity of them the said Grantors or either of them or which was in the said Peter Bankard at the time of his death therein or thereto TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said described pieces or parcels of ground and premises with the appurtenances unto the said Owen Dorsey his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever In trust nevertheless for the uses and purposes following that is to say that he the said Owen Dorsey his heirs executors administrators or assigns shall have full power and lawful authority after giving public notice in any two of the Baltimore newspapers to set up and expose to public sale on the premises on the tenth day of May next or at any time within ten days thereafter the said pieces or parcels of ground and premises or any part thereof and the same to sell to the highest bidder or bidders one half of the purchase money to be paid in cash and the residue on a credit of six months the purchaser giving notes with interest with an approved endorser and the same pieces of ground and premises to convey and assign to the purchaser or purchasers thereof his her or their heirs executors administrators and assigns as the case may be and the amount of the purchase money to receive and the same after deducting expences and a commission of five p cent for his trouble and the trouble of the administratrix of Peter Bankards estate is to be distributed and applied as follows to wit one third part thereof to be applied and paid to Lovace Bankard the widow of the deceased her executors administrators or assigns one eighth part of the remaining two thirds to be paid to said Catherine Weishample her executors administrators and assigns one other eighth part of the remaining two thirds to be paid to the said Peter Bankhard his executors administrators or assigns one other eighth part of the remaining two thirds to be paid to the said Jacob Bankard his executors administrators or assigns one other eighth part of the remaining two thirds to be paid and applied to the use of the said Motelena Purpur independant of any controul of the said Charles Purpur and to be for her exclusive use and benefit and to be disposed of by her by will or otherwise in any manner she may think fit and in case of her death without disposing of the same then the same to be paid and applied to the use and benefit of her children and one other eighth part of the remaining two thirds of the money to be paid and applied to the said Lovace Sensener and to be for her seperate use and benefit and to be disposed of by her in any manner she may think fit by will or otherwise and in case of her death without disposing of the same then to be applied to the use of her legal representatives one other eighth part of the remaining two thirds to be paid and applied one half part thereof to the said John L Zigler his executors administrators or assigns and the other half part thereof to his wife the said Barbara for her exclusive benefit in the same manner as is mentioned with respect to Motelena Purpur one other eighth part of the remaining two thirds of the money to be paid to the said Peter Tesch and Mary his wife to be paid and divided between them in the same manner as mentioned with respect to Zigler & wife and as to the other eighth part of the remaining two thirds the same to be applied in such manner and for such purposes as the Orphans Court of Baltimore County shall direct In witness whereof the parties hereto have set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

WHEREAS Owen Dorsey the trustee named in the within deed did in pursuance of the authority in him thereby vested set up and sell at public auction on the tenth day of May instant the whole of the pieces or parcels of ground and premises mentioned in the within deed that is to say one portion thereof to John Lanehart Zigler for the sum of forty one hundred dollars one other potion thereof to William Wilson for thirty fur hundred and fifty dollars and one other portion thereof to Peter Bankard Junior for the sum of five hundred and eighty dollars Now Know al men by these presents that we the undersigned and each of us do hereby ratify and confirm the sales made by the said Owen Dorsey and do hereby severally acknowledge to have received of him our respective portions of the purchase money or amount of sales of said property and we do hereby for ourselves our heirs executors and administrators respectively release acquit exonerate and discharge the said Owen Dorsey his heirs executors and administrators of and from all & every action suit claim and demand which we or either of us our or either of our heirs executors and administrators might or could possibly being exhibit or prosecute against him or them for or respecting the said purchase money or sales of the property aforesaid or the trusts reposed in him hereby declaring ourselves fully satisfied contented and paid given under our hands and seals this seventeenth day of May 1811 Signed sealed & delivered in presence of Charles  Whitelock

This Indenture made the seventeenth day of May eighteen hundred and eleven Between Owen Dorsey of the county of Baltimore County of the one part and John Lanehart Zigler of the same county of the other part WHEREAS the said Owen Dorsey in pursuance of the authority in him vested by a deed of trust to him executed by Lovace Bankard and others bearing date the fifth day of March last past did on the tenth day of May instant after giving due public notice set up and sell to the said John Lanehart Zigler at public auction in several parcels the following described piece or parcel of ground situate in the city of Baltimore that is to say all that piece or parcel of ground the same being part of the ground leased by John Eager Howard to Peter Bankard by Indenture of lease bearing date the fourteenth day of May seventeen hundred and ninety four and recorded among the land records of Baltimore County Court in Liber WG No 00 folio 310 &c Also part of the ground conveyed by the said John Eager Howard to the said Peter Bankard by deed bearing date the twenty eighth day of February seventeen hundred and ninety three and recorded among the records aforesaid in Liber WG No LL folio 307 also part of the ground assigned by Christopher Banker to the said Peter Bankard by Indenture bearing date the sixteenth day of January seventeen hundred and eighty six and recorded among the records aforesaid in Liber WG No Y folio 219 &c which piece of ground so sold is contained within the following metes and bounds to wit BEGINNING for the same on the north side of Conway Street at the distance of sixty six feet east from the north east corner or intersection of Conway and Howard Streets and running thence east binding on Conway Street sixty eight feet nine inches or thereabout to the center of an alley three feet eleven inches in width thence north parallel with Howard Street in a line with the centre of said alley seventy five feet thence west parallel with Conway Street two feet nine inches or thereabout to the ground conveyed in fee to the said Peter Bankard by the deed  from the said Howard as aforesaid thence north binding thereon to that part thereof conveyed by said Bankard to Leonard Foreman thence west binding thereon thirty three feet or thereabout to the piece of ground leased to said Peter Bankard by John Eager Howard as aforesaid thence north binding thereon seven feet or thereabout to that part of the said ground this day assigned by the said Owen Dorsey to Peter Bankard Junior thence west binding on said part thirty three feet and thence with a straight line to the BEGINNING TOGETHER with the buildings and appurtenances thereunto belonging and also the priviledge of building over the said three feet eleven inches alley which alley is to be for the mutual benefit and advantages of both houses thereto adjoining and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand which was in the parties executing the deed aforesaid therein or thereto for which said premises the said John Lanehart Zigler gave and has paid the sum of forty one hundred dollars Now this Indenture WITNESSETH that the said Owen Dorsey in pursuance of the authority in him vested and in consideration of the said sum of forty one hundred Dollars to him paid by the said John Lanehart Zigler at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold assigned transferred and conveyed and by these presents Doth grant bargain sell assign release and convey unto the said John Lanehart Zigler his heirs executors administrators and assigns all and singular the said described piece or parcel of ground and premises sold to the said Zigler as aforesaid with the buildings priviledges and appurtenances thereunto belonging and all the estate right title interest and claim of the said Owen Dorsey therein or thereto TO HAVE AND TO HOLD such part of the said described piece ------- of ground and premises as is in fee Simple unto the said John Lanehart Zigler his heirs and assigns forever to his and their only use and benefit and TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the remaining part of the said described piece or parcel of ground and premises with the appurtenances unto the said John Lanehart Zigler his executors administrators and assigns for and during all the rest residue and remainder of the term of years therein yet to come and unexpired by virtue of the original leases with the benefit of renewal forever in as full large ample and beneficial manner to all intents and purposes whatsoever as he the said Owen Dorsey might or could have held and enjoyed the same Subject nevertheless to the payment of the yearly rent of one cent In Witness whereof the said Owen Dorsey hath hereto set his hand and seal the day and year first above written.

dollars and fifty cents shall be in arrear and unpaid by the space of sixty days next after the time on which the same is above reserved to be paid the same being first lawfully demanded that then it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Joseph Young and Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs or assigns into the said demised premises or any part thereof in the name of the whole to reenter and the same to have again repossess Occupy and enjoy as in his or their former Estate until all such Arrearages of rent with legal Interest therefor and all and every cost charge and Expence incurred by the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young their heirs or assigns by reason of the nonpayment of the said rent shall be fully satisfied and paid or make distress therefor at his or their option and also being first lawfully demanded that then it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs or assigns into the said demised premises or any part thereof peaceably and quietly have hold use Occupy possess and enjoy the above demised land and premises with their and every of their appurtenances for and during the aforesaid term of ninety nine years for which the same is above demised without the let trouble or interruption of the said Joseph  and performance of the Covenants herein mentioned and reserved on the part of the said Frederick Sinsner his Executors administrators and assigns to be paid and performed shall and may peaceably and quietly have hold use Occupy possess and enjoy the above demised land and premises with their and every of their appurtenances for and during the aforesaid term of ninety nine years for which the same is above demised without the let trouble or interruption of the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs or assigns or any other person or persons claiming any thing therein by from or under him them or any of them or by his or their privity or procurement and also that the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young their heirs and assigns at any time or times hereafter during the continuance of this present demise on the request and at the cost and charge of the said Frederick Sinsner his Executors administrators and assigns and on his or their payment or tendering in payment the sum of fifty two Dollars and fifty cents as a fine therefor to the said Joseph Young and Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs and assigns shall and will make and execute or cause to be made and executed a new lease of the above demised land and premises for another ninety nine years to commence and take present demise may be renewable and renewed forever

in any wise appertaining TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said three lots or parcels of Land of ground and premises with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said John Miller his Executors administrators and assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these presents for and during and until the full end and term of ninety nine years from thence next ensuing fully to be complete and ended yielding and paying therefor to the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife the yearly rent or sum of fifty two dollars and fifty cents free and clear of all taxes assessments or deductions of any kind or nature whatever on the tenth day of November in each and every year during the continuance of this present demise and if it shall happen that the said yearly rent or sum of fifty two dollars and fifty cents shall be in arrear and unpaid by the space of sixty days next after the time on which the same is above reserved to be paid the same being first lawfully demanded that then it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife heirs or assigns into the said demised premises or any part thereof in the name of the whole to reenter and the same to have again repossess Occupy and enjoy as in his or their former Estate until all such arrearages of rent with legal Interest therefor and all and every cost charge and expence incurred by the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs or assigns by reason of the nonpayment of the said rent shall be fully satisfied and paid or make distress therefor at his or their option and also if the yearly rent or sum of fifty two dollars and fifty cents shall be in arrear and unpaid by the space of one whole year next after the time on which the same is above reserved to be paid the same being first lawfully demanded that then it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs or assigns into the said demised premises or any part thereof in the name of the whole to reenter and the same to have again repossess Occupy and enjoy as in his or their former Estate and that then and in such case this Indenture and every clause matter and thing therein contained shall from thenceforth be utterly void and of none effect and the said John Miller his executors administrators and assigns doth covenant and agreed to and with the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs and assigns well and truly to pay the above reserved yearly rent or sum of fifty two Dollars and fifty cents at the time above limited for the payment of the same and also will pay all taxes assessments and public dues whatever to the Collectors thereof when required and the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young their heirs and assigns doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said John Miller his executors administrators and assigns that he the said John Miller his Executors administrators and assigns on the payment of the rent and performance of the Covenants herein mentioned and reserved on the part of the said John Miller his Executors administrators and assigns to be paid and performed shall and may peaceably and quietly have hold use Occupy possess and enjoy the above demised land and premises with their and every of their appurtenances for and during the aforesaid term of ninety nine years for which the same is above demised without the let trouble or interruption of the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs or assigns or any other person or persons claiming any thing therein by from or under him them or any of them or by his or their privity or procurement and also that the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs and assigns at any time or times hereafter during the continuance of this present demise on the request and at the Cost and charge of the said John Miller his executors administrators and assigns and on his or their payment or tendering in payment the sum of fifty two dollars and fifty cents as a fine therefor to the said Joseph Young & Elizabeth Young his wife their heirs and assigns shall and will make and Execute or cause to be made and Executed a new lease of the above demised land and premises for other ninety nine years to commence and take effect from and at the end of the term for which the same is above demised subject to the same rents and under the like covenants clauses and agreements as are herein before mentioned so that this present demise may be renewable and renewed forever

Joseph Brown of the same County and State of the other part WHEREAS a certain Joseph Young and Elizabeth his wife by Indenture bearing date the twenty eighth day of November one thousand eight hundred and eleven for the consideration therein mentioned did grant lease unto the said Jacob Bankard his executors administrators and assigns all those three lots or parcels of Land being part of two tracts of Land called “Brotherly Love” and “Ridgelys Delight” situated between Washington street and Cove street in the precincts of the city of Baltimore BEGINNING for the first lot at the distance of THIS INDENTURE MADE THIS fifth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen between Peter Bankard Junior of Baltimore County of the one part and John P. Spies of the same County of the other part WHEREAS Owen Dorsey by INDENTURE of assignment bearing date the seventeenth day of May eighteen hundred and eleven did sell and assign unto the said Peter Bankard Junior his executors administrators and assigns all that piece or parcel of round situate in the City of Baltimore the same being part of lot number seven hundred and fifty nine and part of the ground leased by John Eager Howard to the Father of the said Peter Bankard Junior to wit Peter Bankard by INDENTURE bearing date the fourteenth day of May seventeen hundred and ninety four and recorded among the land records of Baltimore County Court in Liber W G No. 00 folio 310 &c BEGINNING for the said piece of ground on the south side of Brandy ally at the distance of sixty six feet east from Howard Street and running thence east binding on Brandy ally thirty three feet thence south parallel with Howard Street sixty nine feet thence west parallel with Conway Street thirty three feet and thence with a straight line to the BEGINNING with the appurtenances subject to the payment of the yearly rent of five pounds current money as by the said INDENTURE recorded among the land records of Baltimore County Court in Liber W G No. 113 folio 197 &c relation being thereunto and more fully appears. Spies his executors administrators and assigns on payment of the yearly rent aforesaid shall and may at all times hereafter peaceably and quietly have hold use occupy possess and enjoy the said piece of ground and premises with the appurtenances without the let suit trouble or interruption of the said Peter Bankard Junior or any other person or persons claiming any thing therein by from or under him. THIS INDENTURE made the twelfth day of January in the year of our Lord one housand eight hundred and twenty two between Jacob Bankard of the City of Baltimore in Baltimore County and State of Maryland of the one part and John Lenhart Zigler of the same place of the other part WITNESSETH that the said Jacob Bankard for the purpose of securing the payment of the sum of two thousand dollars current money loaned and advanced to him by the said John Lenhart Zigler and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him paid by the said John Lenhart Zigler at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold assigned transferred and set over and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell assign transfer and set over unto the said John Lenhart Zigler his executors administrators and assigns all that piece or parcel of ground situate and lying in the City of Baltimore aforesaid on the south side of Mulberry Street heretofore sold and assigned by a certain John Carroll to the said Jacob Bankard by Indenture bearing date the eighth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirteen and recorded among the land records of Baltimore County Court in Liber W.G. No. 122 folio 345 and soforth and therein particularly described subject to the payment of the yearly rent of one cent if demanded also all those five lots of ground and premises on Delany Street in the City aforesaid heretofore sold and assigned by Whitely Barnes to the said Bankard by Indenture bearing date the twenty eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fourteen and recorded among the land records aforesaid in Liber W.G. No. 126 folio 400 and soforth subject to the payment of the yearly rent or some of Forty dollars also all that piece or parcel of ground and premises situate at the corner of Hampstead Hill Street and Madeira Alley in the City aforesaid heretofore sold and assigned by Christopher Chapman to the said Jacob Bankard by Indenture bearing date the third day of April one thousand eight hundred and seventeen and recorded among the land records aforesaid in Liber W.G. No. 140 folio 206 and soforth subject to the payment of the yearly rent or sum of eighteen dollars and seventy five cents And also all that piece or parcel of ground and premises situate on Hampstead Hill Street in the City aforesaid heretofore sold and assigned by John Hillen and Edward Jenkins executors of the last will and Testament of George Hwaites deceased to said Bankard by Indenture bearing date the twelfth day of July one thousand eight hundred and seventeen and recorded among the land records aforesaid in Liber W.G. No. 143 folio 380 and soforth and therein particularly described by courses and distances subject to the payment of the yearly rent of one cent if demanded TOGETHER with the buildings and improvements thereon respectively erected made and being and the rights alleys ways privileges advantages and appurtenances thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the estate right title interest use possession terms of years respectively to come and unexpired property claim and demand whatsoever of the said Jacob Bankard both at law and in equity of in unto and out of the same and every part and parcel thereof TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the said described lots pieces and parcels of ground and premises and every part of the same with the rights [?] and appurtenances unto the said John Lenhart Zigler his executors administrators and assigns henceforward for and during all the residue and remainder of the respective terms of years therein yet to come and unexpired by virtue of the original leases thereof with the benefit of renewal forever subject to the payment of the respective yearly rents aforesaid Provided always and these presents are made upon this condition and it is hereby declared to be the true intent and meaning thereof and of the parties hereto that if the said Jacob Bankard his heirs executors or administrators or any of them do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said John Lenhart Zigler his executors administrators or assigns the said sum of two thousand dollars current money within one year from the date of these presents with legal interest thereon according to the tenor and effect of the said Bankards promissory note bearing equal date herewith then this Indenture and every clause matter and thing herein contained shall become void and of no effect any thing herein before mentioned to the contrary in any wise notwithstanding In Testimony whereof the said Jacob Bankard hath hereunto subscribed his name and affixed his seal on the day and year above written----

Be it remembered that on this twelfth day of January in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and twenty two before the subscribers two justices of the peace for said County personally appears Jacob Bankard party to the aforegoing Indenture or instrument of writing and doth acknowledge the same to be his act and deed in Testimony whereof we hereto subscribe our names on the day and year aforesaid.
