Arrested while attempting to pass a fradulent check Saturday evening (May 10, 1943) at a local busines establishment, a man identified as Thomas J. Kesterson, twenty-one, is being held in jail her pending a hearing in justice court. Police said Kesterson was successful in passing three ficticious checks here and that he is being held on a complaint filed by the district attorney's office. The accused man told the police he had just arrived her Saturday from Los Angeles.
