Wayne Monroe Dolby,76, Poneto, died at 8 am Thursday (Nov. 24 1988) at his home. Mr. Dolby was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the South Liberty Christian Church, Mt. Zion. He was a retired factory worker and minister.

He was born May 28, 1912, in Wells county to Lewis and Flora Huffman Dolby. His marriage was Jan 6 1947, in Markle to Grace Mossburg, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Paul Dolby, Poneto; a daughter, Mrs. Donnie (Mary) Thomas, Bluffton; and four grandchildren. A son David Dolby, preceded him in death.

Calling hours will be from 1 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm Saturday at the H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, Warren and from 1 to 2 pm on Sunday at the South Liberty Christian Church, Mt. Zion. Services will be held at 2 pm at the church, with Rev. George Dillman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Goodwin Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Grace E. Dolby, 82, rural Poneto, who died at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday at the home of a daughter in Bluffton.

Mrs. Dolby was a homemaker and had resided at 0643W-St. Rd. 218. She was born in Wells County Feb. 28, 1911, a daughter of Emerson and Abbi Shelley Mossburg. Her marriage at Markle in January 1946 was to Wayne Dolby, whose death occurred in November 1989.(error should be 1988).

Mrs. Dolby was a member of the King's Highway Tabernacle in Bluffton.

Surviving are the Bluffton daughter, Mrs. Donnie (Mary) Thomas; a son, Paul Dolby of Poneto, and four grandchildren. Rev. Stephen Fitzpatrick will officiate at the services and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Warren.

An 11 year old Wells County boy, David Lynn Dolby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne M Dolby of Rt. 1 Poneto, died at 7 pm Friday of injuries suffered when he was hit while riding his bicycle a mile west of Poneto. He was on his way to visit neighbor boys when the accident occurred. Death was caused by a broken neck.

The child was born March 13, 1952 to Wayne M and Grace Mossburg Dolby in Wells County, where he lived all his life. He attended the Liberty Center School. Surviving are the parents, a sister, Mary E at home and a brother Paul W at home.

Friends may call in the H. Brown and Son Funeral Home at Warren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday in the South Liberty Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Warren.
