Dolby Crest

THE DOLBY CREST

Dolby Crest

The Dolby Coat of Arms is described as such:
ARMS: Barry wavy of six argent and gules
CREST: A demi griffin couped argent winged and beaked or, In heraldry colors denote: Argent, faith and honor; Gules, charity; Or, justice.

Heraldic symbols do not necessarily denote aristocracy or an exclusive class. The emblems were the reward of personal merit and could be secured by the lowly as well as the rich.

I personally do not know a thing about the Coat of Arms, but if someone could tell me the actual "deeds" the Dolby family did to acquire it, I would find that very worthwhile.
