William was the husband of Minnie (Porter) Houck and father of Martha, Harvey, Harold, Charles & Arlie Houck
William Henry Houck 85 years old of Scott City died at 5 a.m. at his home here. He was born March 11, 1888 at Allenville (Cape Girardeau Co). On April 20, 1913 he married the former Miss Minnie Porter. Mr. Houck was a retired employee of the Cotton Belt Railroad. He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors are his wife; sons Harvey Houck, Cahokia ILL, Harold L. Houck, Attica NY, and Arlie Houck, Moline IL; daughter Mrs. Martha Glenn, East Moline IL, half brothers James Houck, Kansas City, KS and John Houck, Oran; stepsister Mrs. Rosie Skaggs, Pittsburgh CA, 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The body is at the Amick-Burnett Funeral home at Illmo where arrangements are incomplete.
