Some researchers believe that James was a son of William Harrison Callicott. If he was born in 1807 as the 1850 census indicates he would have been 13 in 1820. Harrison has no males living at home in the 1820 Adair Co., KY census.
The only mention of Spencer G. Callicoat is as witness to a land transaction, in 1808, between John Fowlkes of Prince Edward Co., VA and William Baldwin of Nottoway Co., VA. Is this the William Baldwin that married Mary daughter of James Callicott? Note other family names mentioned in deed.
Is Thomas W. related to Moore Co., James? Is he possibly a Calcote?
