According to Mae Allman, Unity later married Rev. J.R. Mayes. A Rev. J.R.
Mayes was the pastor at New Hope Methodist Church, Istachatta, Citrus County,
FL. He died during a sermon according to an article copied by Noreen Cason
Hancock at the Citrus County Historical Society (Floral City History).
