INDEX

[12] He was a circuit riding dentist and lived in Thonotosassa. Around 1900 he
moved his family to Dade City, FL where he opened a dental office. Edythe
DARSEY BAKER, widow of William Rudolph BAKER, showed me where the "Old Baker
Place" used to be on a visit to her home in 1996. Thomas was able to provide
a higher education for all of his children. The girls attended Florida State
College for Women (now Florida State University) and most of the males
attended the University of Florida in Gainesville. I visited his grave site in
1996.

T.J. married Mrs. A.Lee Sims on 3 Jul 1920, Hernando Co., FL, Bk 2, Pg 66.
Thelma Baker from Plant City, FL identified A. Lee Sims as Thomas' friend in a
1920 photo taken at a Baker family reunion.

[15] SOURCES: Martine GLASS OAKLEY COX and Mae ALLMAN contributed information on
this family.

[94] Her father, Wade, was born in Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas. She is buried
next to T.J. Death certificate stated she lived in Palm Harbor for 14 years
and was divorced; lived with dtr Claude at death. I visited her grave in May
1996.

[97] She attended FSU in 1902. Liz BAKER had her autograph book from school. She
was not married. She lived in Dade City, FL in 1902. Funeral services were in
Palm Harbor Methodist Church. She is buried next to her sister, Claude, and
her headstone reads "Teacher."

[91] William Emery attended Young Harris College, GA and graduated May 1902 in the
first law class of John B. Stetson University, Deland, FL. At the time of his
death, he was the last surviving member of the class. He and Sabina moved to
Gainesville, FL in 1903 where he started a law practice which he retired from
in 1951. He was an instructor for two classes in the first law school at the
University of Florida, Gainesville, FL and was a member of the first John
Marshall Debating Society which was organized on the University campus. During
World War II he served on the Florida State Board of Appeal for selective
service. He was a member of the Methodist Church, the Gainesville Masonic
Lodge, and the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association. He also was a ardent
fisherman. He and Sabina had five daughters: Elizabeth, Mary, Nancy, Maxey,
and Sabina "Binnie".

[98] Maud married E.W. MILLER in Hillsborough Co., FL (Bk. 7, Page 135) and later
married C.A. McCORD.

[99] She lived in Tampa in 1942 and 1958 according to family obits. She is buried
next to her sister, Claude.

[100] She lived in Seffner, FL and was the widow of Uz PEMBERTON. I have a copy of
their marriage license, Bk. R, Page 237, Hillsborough Co., FL. She and Uz had
three children: Katie PEMBERTON NELSON, Wilber and Irving PEMBERTON.

[101] I have a copy of a newspaper article she wrote in the Pony Express, Route 1,
Box 155A3, Seffner, FL, 33584, about her grandmother Nancy Keziah RIGBY. Her
grandmother was born in Dade City in 1835 and was a widow with 3 children.
Fletcher HAGAN was her great grandfather. Nancy was one of few family
survivors of an Indian attack that Kizzie wrote about.

[102] She was an artist which is noted on her headstone. Dick and Dan COX both have
pictures painted by her. She had a son, John Calvin RUSSELL, who susposedly
killed a couple around Palm Harbor, and who then was killed in a shoot-out
with police at the "Old Baker Place" in Thonotosassa, FL.

[352] He lived in New Orleans in 1942 and Jacksonville, FL in 1958. Info from his
sibling's obits. 1958 Thelma was his wife. One of Maxey BAKER FERAZZI's
daughters said he had a daughter, Betty.

[103] He was in Los Angeles in 1942 and Ruskin, FL in 1958. He played football in
1912 for the University of Florida Gators. World War I 2nd Lt. Air Service.
His wife, Sara, is buried next to him. M#3 believed to be Bett NEAL and they
had a son, Oscar, b. 1877.

[104] He was in Topeka, KS in 1942. Died in Chicago. Veteran of World War I,
attended the University of Florida and played football there. He had a
step-son, Norman STILES, in Decatur, AL at the time of his death. Information
from his obit, I have a copy, and that of his sisters.

[105] Bert lived in Lakeland, FL in 1958. His father's will spells his name Byrdaux
Ollen although his grave marker reads: Burdeau Olin Baker, 2 LT, QMC, US Army,
WWI & II, birth 4 Jun 1893, burial 6 Dec 1960. He is buried at Bay Pines
