BLANTON was Elizabeth's first husband's name. She had two children by him:
Giles B. born abt 1862 and Susan born abt 1865 both in AL. Martine GLASS
OAKLEY COX has a copy of their marriage license.
[74]
Her Widow Pension Claim says she's a resident of Seffner, FL. Her birth place
was obtained from this (I have a copy). According to Fredrick Albert's son,
Lawrence Baker, (at this time living in Moultrie, GA) she never remarried
after Arthur's death. I visited her grave in the Seffner Cemetery in Sept.
1997.
[75]
Buried just behind Elizabeth were two more Blanton graves: Katie, wife of R.J.
Blanton, B. 10 Jan 1871 D. 27 Dec. 1897; Redden J. Blanton, B. 22 Oct 1861 D.
30 Mar 1934.
[76]
On 1900 Census Elizabeth states she has 6 children; 5 living. Is Estelle E.
BAKER the child who died?
[77]
Lawrence BAKER, Fredrick BAKER's son, says he never married and died at
Seffner, FL. He is found on the 1880, 1885, 1890, and 1900 Census. His
middle name is spelled OSCHER on his tombstone.
