of Pilgrims viewed on-line in Genealogy Library:
"I, Thomas William Bicknell, resident
of Providence, R.I., born September 6, 1834; married September 5, 1860,
Amelia Davie Blanding; hereby apply for membership in The Society of the
Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims by right of descent from John Howland,
born 1592, married 1621, died February 23, 1673. Service: Was made assistant
to the Governor three times and a representative."
"...7. The said Ruth Howland was
the daughter of John Howland, born 1592, died February 23, 1673, and his
wife Elizabeth Tilley, died December 21, 1687; married 1621.
8. The said Elizabeth Tilley was
the daughter of John Tilley. Died soon after landing and left this
one child Elizabeth. Mrs. Tilley came over in the "Mayflower"; as also
did her daughter Elizabeth Tilley and John Howland. "

Notes on Elizabeth Tilley
Elizabeth was a passenger on the Mayflower in 1620 with
her parents. Her future husband, John Howland, was also on board.
Elizabeth died at the home of her daughter Lydia Browne.
