Aaron Killingsworth - b. abt 1800 - d. 1845 AL

My gg-grandfather, Aaron Killingsworth and his wife Beda Ward are mentioned in the 1912 obituary of their son who died in Louisiana. This is my only clue to this couple who lived in Alabama possibly in the Autauga County area and had six sons and three daughters. One son was my g-grandfather, James Aaron Killingsworth. Two of the sisters lived in Texas at the time of the obituary, married names Bell and Hodges (or Hedges). Aaron died when James Aaron was eleven, making the year about 1845.

I appreciate any help with this family, Barbara

Ambrose Killingsworth - b. 1770, Johnston Co., NC

I have a brick wall, looking for Ambrose Killingsworth. He was b. 1770 in Johnston Co., NC. The son of Henry Killingsworth. He was in Hancock Co, GA in 1814, in 1820 he was in Wilkinson Co, Ga. between 1820 & 1830 he and his wife Mary moved to Barbour Co, Al. He apparently died prior to Dec 1840. His wife Mary was selling some of his land. They were living next to their daughter Agatha who married John E. Parramore. In 1841 Thomas Killingsworth was selling more of Ambrose's land. Believe this could have been a son. Have never been able to find out anything about this family. Appreciate any help with this.

Caldonia Killingsworth

My gg-grandma Caldonia Killingsworth was born in 1849 in Crawford Co., AR. She is listed on the 1850 census as 1 years old and she had a twin named Safrona. Her parents are John and Cynthia Killingsworth. They are buried in Locke Cemetery in Locke, Crawford Co., AR. I have a picture of their headstones and a few other Killingsworth. I know both John and Cynthia were born in Alabama. My g-grandma was Caldonia Killingsworth's daughter named Paralee E. Vaught born June 7th, 1869 and died July 21st, 1941. I believe Caldonia married James k. P. Vaught. I don't know what year. Paralee had a sister named Sarah Adelia Vaught who married William A. Pense in 1887. I know Sarah was born in 1867. I have a copy of her marriage certificate and a copy of Paralee's marriage certificate. Paralee married Joseph Thomas Teague on October 1st, 1885. I would like to know more about Caldonia and her family. I know from John B. Killingsworth's government headstone, he was a private in the military. It states "PVT Co E SNODGRASS NORTH, ALA MTD VOLS, INDIAN WARS" . He was born in 1809 and died in 1856. Cynthia was born in December 25, 1812 and died July 1, 1899.

Any help would be appreciated.

Emelina Killingsworth, NC

My gg grandmother was Emelina Killingsworth. I know very little. She is listed on the 1870 census of Sacramento County California, age 44 born in N. Carolina. According to the biography of Edward K. Healey they were married in 1853 in Atlanta, Georgia. I have found a IGI listing for Emelina Killingsworth born in Guliford, North Carolina in 1826 to Mark W. Killingsworth and Susanah McGee. I not positive this is my Emelina but the information matches what I found on the census. Edward Healey's biography also stated that Emelina died in 1868 at the age of 44, but she listed in the 1870 census. If anyone has any information I would appreciate the help.

John Hamilton Killingsworth - b. abt. 1888 Hannibal, MO

My Grandfather was John Hamilton Killingsworth. We have been unable to find any ancestors of his. He was born in Hannibal, MO circa 1888. He was orphaned at the age of two or three. He lived in Lincoln, (Havelock) Nebraska most of his adult life. I believe that his parents or grandparents immigrated from England after the Civil War. He didn't talk much about his past life, so all we got was bits and pieces. Perhaps this information will fill some holes in other Killingsworth's information.

William A. Killingsworth - b. abt. 1812

William A. Killingsworth was born about 1812. (He was listed as being 38 on the Polk County MO census 1850.) He died about July of 1855. Family history is that he died on the way to Gold Rush. His probate papers say that he was a fifth partner in a mining outfit. He was a partner with an Isaac Killingsworth, Gideon Combs Senior and Junior and Albert Combs. In 1840 he and wife and one child were in McMinn County, TN living next to Thomas Killingsworth.
He was married to Mary Jane Allison (daughter of William P. and Sarah McKinney Allison) 20 December 1838 in McMinn Co. TN. She was born 22 December 1822 and died in Chattanooga Valley, GA 10 Nov 1910. After William died she and the children moved to Walker County, GA to be near her parents. Later she married James A. Newton.
William A. Killingsworth and Mary Jane Allison had the following children: Calvin (my ancestor), Archibald, Mary A, Joseph, Isaac, Sarah C., William D., and Thomas Benton.
There were three distinct William A. Killingsworth men living in the Greene/ Dade/Polk county Missouri area in the 1830-1850-time period. They were somehow related as they had dealings together. I have not been able to tie my William A. Killingsworth to a father after many years of trying. I would appreciate any help I can get.
