CASE FAMILY

I've managed to identify four of the photos as members of the Henry and Sarah CASE family whom I found in the 1880 US census living in Auburn New York but why there should be photos of that family in Christchurch I haven't yet fathomed.
After a lengthy trek through the 1880 USA Census seeking folk with the first name Wheeler I was highly successful. I can also tell you that the photo of the military man was taken in the same studio as these ones so is quite likely to be the same family, probably Henry Jacob CASE. I've added the census entry

S.E. Case

Narrie (possibly Warren E)

Nellie

Jay, Wheeler, Edie ( Edith)

This Photo was taken at the same Studio as the above photos so most likely to be Henry Case
I've searched for the CASE family on RootsWeb WorldConnect and now believe the full names of the family to be:

Henry Jacob CASE 1839 - 1924
First wife Mary Rikert KELLER m 9 Oct 1860 d 12 Dec 1863
1. Nell May CASE b 9 Sep 1861
2. Warren Ely CASE b 27 May 1863

Second wife Sarah CHAPIN (1837 - 1915) m 9 Oct 1867
3. Wheeler Chapin CASE b 21 Feb 1870
4. Henry Jay CASE b 21 Jan 1873
5. Edith Abbott CASE b 3 Jun 1875
