PROB 11/1746

I Robert Baalham of the parish of Walthamstow in the County of Essex, Carpenter, do make my last will and testament as follows. I give to my nephew John Baalham my business and the utensils tools and stock in trade that i may be in possessed of at the time of the decease. I give to my servant a Sarah Corby the sum of twenty pounds and the furniture which may be in --- in the bed room at the time of my decease and as to all the rest of my furniture, books, plates, linen, china and all other my estate and effects of what nature or kind (sododr) which i may be possessed or interested in or intitled to at the time of my decease.  I direct that the same may be sold by my executors hereinafter named either by publication or private (routart) for the most money that can be reasonably obtained for the same the receipt of my executors to be a sufficient discharge to the purchasers who are not to be answerable for the application of purchase monies and my will is that the product of my said residuary estate and effects after the payment thereout of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses shall be paid to and equally divided between my brother John Baalham of Polstead in Suffolk, my brother William Baalham of Islington, my niece Hannah Humphrey and my said servant Sarah Corby equally share and share alike and i give the same to them accordingly I hereby nominate roustitute and appoint Sir Edward Selby of Second Street, Shoreditch in the County of Middlesex, undertaker and my said nephew John Baalham executors of this my will and hereby revoking and making void all other wills by me at any time (heretofore) made de---- this to be last will and testament --- witness where of i have -------- set my (hand) and seal the  thirtith day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven.(initials). Signed and sealed published and declared by the said testor as and for this last will and testament in the presence of Geo. Selby, St John Street Road, Clerkenwell. Thos. Linsell.

Proved at London 9th October 1828 before the Worshipful Charles Coate Dortor of Saws and Surrogate by the oaths of Edmond Selby, John Baalham, the nephew, the executors to whom ad---- was granted having been first sworn duly to administer.

30 April 1841 Will of William Baalham of No 3 Queens Head Lane Islington , Middlesex

This is the last Will and testament of --- William Baalham of No.3 Queens Head Lane, Islington in the county of Middlesex. I desire all my just debts funeral, and testamentary expenses to be paid as soon as ------------- ---- be after my decease. I give and bequested all my household goods and furniture, plate, linen, (china) and (stock) household effects unto my two daughters Sarah BAALHAM and Ann BAALHAM, spinsters for ---- ---- absolute use and bought. I give ---- and bequested unto my daughter Sarah BAALHAM, spinster my ----------- in ----- o- -------- garden and premises with the --------- situate and being No. 2 Queens Head Lane aforesaid and in restoration of the same being in bad state of repair. I do act by give and bequested to act my said daughter Sarah the sum of seventy five pounds sterling for the repairs -----. I also give and bequested unto my daughter Ann BAALHAM, spinster my (stock)-------- -- ------- garden and premises with the ----------- situate and being No. 3 Queens Head Lane aforesaid and --------. I ------- together with --- life sum of seventy-five pounds for the -------------. I give and bequested to my grandson William BAALHAM and his mother Elizabeth BAALHAM, widow of my late son William BAALHAM the sum of five pounds ---- and a ------ my son Robert BAALHAM is indebted to me in the sum of one hundred and ten pounds and forward----- I sold his note of said sum I do act by discharge my said son Robert of and from the payment ------- and all interest one (factory) and ----- my Executors ------ after -------- to round the said seventy for the same all ------ Rest, Residue and Remainder of my estate and effects (both) real and personal. I (desire) may be divided into four equal parts (out)--- one fourth part -----I give and bequest to my said daughter Sarah two fourth part ---- I give and bequested to my said daughter Ann and the remaining fourth part ----I give and bequest to my daughter Elizabeth the wife of the destitute and appoint my son Robert Baalham, my son in law James Bard, my daughter Ann Baalham executers of this my will to witness -------- accounts set my --- this 24 day of february in the year one thousand and eight hundred and forty one. Mr Baalham signed by the above tester William Baalham in our joint presence and signed by us in his presence the --- ---- ---- been first written over said mark. William Hillman

Proved on Sunday 30th April 1841 before worshipful --- Thomas Pratt ----- of saws and surrogate by the --- of Robert Baalham the son, James Bard and Anne Baalham spinster the daughter of the executors to whom --- was granted --- being first (person) ----- only to administer.

effects under £2000, 6 Apr 1876. Administration of the effects of George BALLAM, late of Bournemouth in the county of Southampton, gardener who died 9th March 1876 at Bournemouth was granted at the principle registry to Ann BALLAM of Bournemouth, widow the relict.
