ALLEN-DEPP -- S. J. ALLEN of Winkelman, Ariz. and Miss Delsie J. DEPP of Summer Shade, Ky., were married yesterday at the home of Lawrence WILLIAMS, pastor of the Christian church, by Mr. Williams. Mr. Allen is connected with the Copper Creek Mining company and the Calumet and Arizona Mining Company.
DEATH OF MISS FOLEY -- Miss Katherine FOLEY died yesterday a little afternoon at her home on East Garfield street. The cause of death was consumption of which she had been a sufferer for three or four years. There were with her at the time of her death two sisters and her father, Miss Foley was a lovely and beautiful girl of twenty-two. She came from Reno., Nev., with her father and her younger sister, Isabel, a year ago last fall. For a time there was an improvement of her condition which however, last summer took a turn for the worse. By the early fall it was plain that she was beyond all hope and for the last two weeks, her death had seemed only a matter of hours.
SHE IS PLEASED WITH PHOENIX -- Mrs. Florence TRACEY will return to Los Angeles today after spending two very delightful weeks with her brother, W. M. WITTINGER, who is employed with the Dorris-Heyman Co. Mrs. Tracey is the daughter of one of the oldest pioneers of California and is very much impressed with Phoenix and the congenial people she has met.
HERE FOR A SEASON -- Mrs. W. P. BAKEWELL and son arrived here yesterday from Los Angeles to join Mr. BAKEWELL for a couple of months' stay in Phoenix.
EQUESTRIAN FROLIC -- Arthur SWETT, a well-known cowboy, was the humiliated victim of his pony's efforts to show off a little yesterday afternoon. He was riding with others along Jefferson street near the fire station when the horse suddenly tied itself in a bow knot and then straightened out again very quickly. Mr. SWETT and the saddle both went off in a pile of autumn leave by the roadside. The bridle also went with the rest of the impediamenta as Mr. SWETT had insisted on holding to the reins.
GOING TO PRESCOTT -- George PURDY BULLARD, F. J., LYMAN, Dr. R. W. ...raig and Mr. and Mrs. Joe MEFFORD, principal, witnesses and attorneys in the matter of the settlement of the estate of Mrs. Sarah STEATH, late mother of Mr. MEFFORD, left for Prescott this morning, where the case is coming up in the district court on an effort of a sister of Mrs. MEFFORD to set aside the will of their mother.

Mrs. and Mrs. Mose HAGGARD are rejoicing over the arrival of a ???ing baby girl. Mother and child are doing nicely.
Miss Lola LeBARON of Fowler was visiting through here Thursday.
Henry RANGE has been hauling wood to the city for the past week. Mrs. Ed COUGAR of Fowler was out making her old year calls Friday.
Mr. PORTER, who has been working for Harry CRISWELL, left for California Wednesday.
James and Mary RAVERTY gave a house warming Friday evening. A good time was had by all.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank BEASLEY and family were out calling Wednesday morning.
R. REYNOLDS is hauling hay from the Hoover place to his own home.
C. V. GULLEY is engaged in chopping wood this week.
A party composed of Messrs. DAY, GLEASON, McINTYRE and BOEMAN spent Sunday on the desert hunting doves and quail. Good success was reported.
Several families attended the funeral of Miss Mable BROWN that was held Tuesday. We extend our sympathies to the bereaved family.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter NELSSEN and son, Fletcher, returned from Buckeye on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert NELSON came up from Buckeye Friday. They will remain in Phoenix until after the arrival of the New Year.

One of the most pleasant and enjoyable affairs of the holidays was the party given by Miss Gertrude BIVIN at her home on the Gordon TWEED ranch last Tuesday evening. The evening was spent playing games both in the house and out in the moonlight on the lawn. Those who had the pleasure of being present were Mr. and Mrs. J. W. CARVER, Mrs. David JOHNSON, the Misses Tibbie KLECK, Ruth CREIGHTON, Mary MOLLET, Rena LaTOURETTE, Josephine MOLLET, Evangeline MOLLET, Mary PERKINS, Abbie SMITH, Emma CURTIS, Lillie MALEY, Audrey JOHNSON, Bernice BIVIN and Jake KLECK, Allen CREIGHTON, Paul MOLLET, Lyman LaTOURRETTE, Franklyn GEGAX, Theodore HARTWIG, Harvey HUGG, Frank MILLER, Morris CURTIS, John MILLER, Joe BIVIN, Fred BIVIN and Wilrus BIVIN.
A picnic composed of Mrs. W. F. MATHERS, Mrs. C. C. LaTOURETTE, Mrs. T. L. BROWN, Mrs. LINCOLN, Miss Rena LaTOURETTE Miss Charlotte LaTOURETTE and Lyman LaTOURRETTE, Marion MATHERS, Verne LaTOURETTE, Harold ATTENBURGH, John and Emery LaTOURETTE spent Monday in the vicinity of the Camel'sback.
Everett SPICER has moved to his place and is busy making improvements.
R. B. McRILL is enjoying a visit from his mother and father who arrived here Friday from their home in Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. McRILL have formed a habit the past few years of coming to the Salt River Valley for the purpose of spending the winter months.
Miss Mary PERKINS was calling on Mrs. H. W. CHAMBERS Wednesday.
Mrs. Jim BATES visited with Mrs. Jake MINCH Thursday.
Mrs. Mary ECHERMAN is here from Indiana to spend the winter months with her sister, Mrs. Walter NEWKIRK.
Miss Lena MOLLET returned Tuesday from California where she has been during the past few months.
J. W. COLLINS was up from his ranch west of town Monday.
Dr. HUGHES was calling in the district Tuesday.
Marion MATHERS and Verne and John LaTOURETTE spent a few days this week hungint in the McDowell mountains.
Leo VONDERECK was working at the Mitchell place Tuesday.
Mrs. John JIMBACH visited at the MOLLET home Tuesday.

Owing to the prolonged calmness of the weather the past few weeks those depending on the wind as motive power for pumping purposes have been short of water.
The parties who recently purchased the J. W. COLLINS ranch are having the house repaired this week and it is understood they will move in within a short time.
Cleon DORRIS spent Friday at the Etter home.
Mr. and Mrs. Jess KLECK were calling at the home of Mr. Cleck's parents Thursday.
Jake and Jess KLECK were putting in grain in the Wilson district the latter part of the week.
A number of ranchers of the district are sowing late grain this week.

The Sunday school has had one of the most prosperous years of its existence, the average attendance being about 65. And after the literature and supplies were paid for the all Christmas and other bills paid there is over $2 in the treasury.

DEATH OF MRS. ROBINSON -- Mrs. L. O. ROBINSON, aged 77 years, died in the city Sunday night at the home of her son, C. O. ROBINSON. She had been in feeble health for a number of years, but her death was rather unexpected. The remains were taken for interment to her former home in Indianapolis, accompanied by her two sons. Mrs. ROBINSON was a native of New York, and during her whole life was unusually active in church work. She is survived by two sons, C. O. ROBINSON, cashier of the Arizona Central bank of Flagstaff, and McDonald ROBINSON, manager of the Arizona Central bank branch at Williams.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas FRIER departed Monday for Phoenix where they will spend several weeks.
Mrs. John CLARK, Sr., has returned from a month's visit with relatives in San Francisco.
Charles CLARK, the sheepman, was home from Navajo Springs to spend Christmas with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Asa CLARK.
Forest Supervisor A. J. Mackay of Snowflake spent Christmas with friends in Flagstaff.
K. H. GILLETTE, transportation inspector for the Santa Fe, spent Christmas in Flagstaff with his family.
Al SANFORD spent Christmas with friends in Phoenix.
Miss TURNER, a member of the faculty of the Northern Arizona Normal school, spent the holidays with relatives in Phoenix.
Miss Nora BLOME of Mesa is spending the holidays in Flagstaff with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. R. H. H. BLOME.
P. A. BENTON of the forest service arrived in Flagstaff Wednesday from San Francisco where he underwent a serious operation.
Anthony MAUREL is spending the holidays with relatives in Globe.
Miss BROWN is spending the holidays with relatives in Parker.
Mrs. Charles GREEN and daughter, Miss Leona, left the first of the week for Los Angeles. Miss GREEN will return in a few days. Mrs. GREEN will remain a month or two.
Misses Callie SLAUGHTER and Macy McGINNIS are visiting relatives at Springerville.
The annual meeting of the stockholders of La Coronado Mining company was held last night and the same officers and directorate, with one exception, were re-elected. The board of directors for the coming year will be:
