Mr. Haro was suffocated in a ditch cave-in in Mesa Friday morning. He was born in Sonora, Mexico, and came to Arizona 45 years ago. He had lived in Mesa since 1947. His home was at 255 N. Hibbert. Survivors include his wife, Josefa; five daughters, Mrs. Margaret MADUENO, Port Hueneme, Calif., Mrs. Nellie CUELLAR, Los Angeles; Mrs. Delphina CARRASCO, Phoenix; and Mrs. Mary ACEVES and Mrs. Sophie HERNANDEZ, both of Mesa; and 25 grandchildren. 31 January 1960. David Lee, 70, widely-known Safford Valley rancher and farmer, died yesterday of a heart attack in the Safford Inn Hospital in Safford. Mr. Lee was a life-long Gila valley resident. He was credited with helping bring the recently launched Frye Creek-Stockton Wash watershed project to the area. He had attended a project meeting Tuesday. Mr. Lee is survived by his wife, Ella; two daughters, Annice PHILLIPS, Thatcher, and Mona LARSON, Solomon; a son, Ewart Lee, Thatcher. 21-23 January 1960. Mr. Lewis, born in Bernice, Louisiana, came to Phoenix from Detroit in 1948. He operated the Eighth Street Cafe at the Transmission Road address, and a pool hall at 1619 E. Broadway. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mahalia THOMPSON, and a brother, Rube, both of Detroit. Friends may call at the mortuary today. 31 January 1960.
