16286. Jon* JONSSON Aukland (766) (777)(827) (767) was born about 1565 in Tøtland gård #39, Hjelmeland, Rogaland, Norway. He was living about 1595 in Skår indre gård #8, Hjelmeland, Rogaland, Norway. He died in 1626 in Tøtland gård #39, Hjelmeland, Rogaland, Norway. Jon Jonsson lived at Ytre Skår in Hjelmeland in 1603, but moved to Tøtland in 1608. He leased all of Tøtland (4 laupar smør) from the King and operated it himself. He was also the largest exporter of lumber in all Ryfylke in the first part of the 1600's. According to the jordboka of 1617 and 1624 he was the largest landowner of his time in Hjelmeland. He owned property at 27 farms around Ryfylke and Jæren that had a total annual income over 27 laupar smør. Although he inherited a sizable estate from his father, the bulk of this property came through his wife, a descendant of the rich and powerful Losna family. Jon Tøtland was the lensmann in Hjelmeland for a time before 1616 and was one of the delegates sent to the royal coronation in 1610 in Oslo. He was married to Kari* ÅGESDATTER Nessa about 1594 in Ryfylke, Rogaland, Norway.

16287. Kari* ÅGESDATTER Nessa (777)(767) was born in 1575 in Indre Nessa farm, Nedstrand, Rogaland, Norway. She died after 1627 in Tøtland gård #39, Hjelmeland, Rogaland, Norway. Kari Ågesdatter operated the Tøtland farm in 1626 and 1627, after her husband's death. Children were:

child iv. Jon JONSSON Vadla(777) (767) was born about 1598 in Ytre Skår farm, Hjelmeland, Rogaland, Norway. He died about 1659 in Vadla farm, Hjelmeland, Rogaland, Norway. Jon Jonsson first lived at Mjølhus in about 1630. In December 1632, he exchanged his property at Mjølhus for Vadla. Jon traded 2 laupar 18 mk smør at Mjølhus, plus 250 riksdalar and a "good horse", for 2 laupar 1 pund smør at Vadla (the entire farm) and a half share of Kromshagen.
