Jens Andersson was mentioned in documents around 1520. He lived at Simling but also owned the farms Tandlå in Luster (Sogn) and Tjugum in Balestrand. Jens may have owned as much as 30 laupar smør, based on the amount of property his three sons are known to have inherited. Jens belonged to the social class described as "lågadel" (lower nobility or landed gentry). Children were:

i. Nils JENSSON Semeleng⁽⁹²⁶⁾⁽⁹⁰²⁾⁽⁸⁸¹⁾⁽⁷⁶⁷⁾ was born about 1500 in Semeleng gård #64:5, Valdres, Oppland, Norway. He died after 1564 in Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway. Nils Jensson was the lagmann (judge) for the upper court in Stavanger between 1550 and 1558. In 1559, he accompanied other Norwegian noblemen to the coronation of King Frederik II in Copenhagen. Nils was a member of the Losna family and belonged to the lower nobility (lågadel). He bore the same arms as his great-grandfather, Fartegn Filippusson of Simling.
