FIFTEENTH GENERATION

32574. Åge* OLAVSSON Hebnes(912) (881)(767) was born in 1530 in Hebnes/Heimnes gård #13, Jelsa, Rogaland, Norway. He died in 1586 in Indre Nessa farm, Nedstrand, Rogaland, Norway. Åge Olavsson lived at Hebnes in Jelsa in 1563. That year he paid 7 dalar in tax for property he owned and 1 dalar for property that he rented. Åge and his brother were operating the Hebnes Storstov farm, which had a value of 2 laupar smør 18 spann grain. Åge Olavsson was descended from the Losna family and married into the Koll family. Sometime around 1570 he married Jakob Koll's widow (Lena Olavsdatter) and went to live at Indre Nessa in Nedstrand. He was married to Liva (Lena)* OLAVSDATTER Indre Nessa in Norway.

32575. Liva (Lena)* OLAVSDATTER Indre Nessa(913) (827) (767) was born about 1530 in Indre Nessa farm, Nedstrand, Rogaland, Norway. She died before 1606 in Indre Nessa farm, Nedstrand, Rogaland, Norway. She had an estate probated in 1606 in Nedstrand, Rogaland, Norway. Liva Olavsdatter was descended from the noble Koll family, the most powerful family in Ryfylke. She owned allodial property in Kvam. In 1563, Lena paid a 3 dalar tax as a landowner. Her probate was held in 1606.

Liva was named as Koll and Kollsdatter. This would mean that it was she who was from the Koll family and not her husband, Jakob. Her father lived at Nessa and that should support this theory. Liva had brothers. There are two possibilities: the National Archives have an extract from a document dated 20 Jun 1571 in which Mikkel Olsson and his brother, Peder, ceded the farm Ringstveit in Leranger to Jens "Aluersen." The document was sealed by Jens Pedersson til Bru, lagmann Kristoffer Nilsson, borgermester Ola Pedersson, and three rådmenn (aldermen) of Stavanger. The two brothers had certainly gotten prominent men to place their seals on the document. We can assume that the two brothers were of the same social class as the witnesses. This Peder Olsson could have been Peder Koll til Nessa.

The farm Dalva in Leranger must have been the allodial property of Liva. In 1617, her children owned 3/4 of this farm. The children were from her marriages to Jakob and Åge. The owner of the other 1/4 was Peder Pedersson Koll.
Children were:

child i. Anders ÅGESSON Nessa was born about 1570 in Nessa indre gård #59, Nedstrand, Rogaland, Norway.
